We would like to thank Matsuri in the Philippines for having us again this year. It was truly an honor to showcase our dojo and Katori Shintō-ryū.
We were delighted to meet up with old friends and making new friends at this event. Truly this was a Japanese-Filipino Cultural Exchange.
We also would like to extend a big thank you to everyone who watched and took photos with us at our booth. In spite of the Manila Heat, you stayed with us. :) we hope that you enjoyed our presence as we did yours.
Until we meet again またね! :)

December 28 is an auspicious day to display the kagami mochi or “mirror rice cakes” in the dojo. The rice cakes symbolize the past year meeting the new one and promise to bring good fortune. Mochi will be broken and shared during the Kagami Biraki (“opening mirror”) ceremony which our dojo will celebrate on January 11, 2026. The ceremony is a celebration of unity to kick off training for the new year.
