STUDENT RESEARCH FORUM | TRIPLE PLAY 2026
The Student Research Forum featured insightful and research-driven presentations that explored different aspects of sports, athlete development, and community engagement.
The presented studies included:
• “Community Engagement: The Impact of Playing Pantintero to the Speed and Agility of the Grade 6 Pupils of Sitio Buga, Bulacan” — a study highlighting the role of traditional Filipino games in improving physical performance and promoting community involvement among children.
• “Shadows of Injury: Exploring the Struggles of Thomasian Collegiate Athletes with Anterior Cruciate Ligament Injury” — a research presentation that examined the physical, emotional, and psychological challenges experienced by collegiate athletes recovering from ACL injuries.
• “Correlating Sports Perfectionism and Sports Burnout of University of Santo Tomas Senior High School Student Athletes” — a study that explored how perfectionism influences stress, pressure, and burnout among student-athletes.
The forum concluded with closing remarks delivered by Prof. Raymond M. Anselmo, LPT, PhD, recognizing the efforts of the student researchers and emphasizing the importance of research in advancing the field of sports and education.

The afternoon faculty presentations highlighted important discussions on student development, motivation, and support systems in sports and physical education.
Rica Ella Pollante, MSHMS presented her study on the relationship between teacher-created motivational climate, students’ attitudes toward Physical Education, and physical activity among Filipino high school students. Her research emphasized the importance of creating empowering and supportive PE environments that encourage autonomy, motivation, and lifelong engagement in physical activity.
Aljireh Lan Fuchigami, MSHMS shared his research on the role of social support in the academic performance of collegiate football student-athletes in the Philippines. His study explored how emotional, tangible, and social support systems influence student-athletes as they balance the demands of academics and sports.
Both presentations highlighted the importance of guidance, support, and positive environments in shaping students’ growth, well-being, and overall performance both inside and outside the field.

🏆 TRIPLE PLAY 2026 — DAY 1 RECAP
Day 1 of TRIPLE PLAY 2026 was filled with learning, inspiration, and meaningful conversations as students, professionals, and future leaders came together to explore the world of sports beyond the game.
From the opening of the Sports Exhibit and insightful conference sessions to inspiring talks from our guest speakers in sports media, law, photography, and technology. The first day showcased the passion, innovation, and excellence that continue to shape the sports industry today.

AFTERNOON SESSION | TRIPLE PLAY 2026
The afternoon session officially started with insightful discussions from distinguished professionals in the fields of sports law and technology.
Atty. Alberto Agra, Jr. led the first talk on “Sports Law in the Philippines” where participants gained a deeper understanding of legal matters, policies, and regulations that shape the Philippine sports industry today.
The session then continued with Dr. Donata D. Acula discussing “Sports Technology: On-Field Performance, Integrity, and Officiating” highlighting how technology continues to transform performance analysis, fairness, and decision-making in sports.

The morning session of the conference featured more inspiring discussions from professionals in the field of sports media and broadcasting.
Mico Halili opened the session with
“FROM COURT TO STREAM” SHIFT AND BEYOND: TRANSFORMATION OF SPORTS BROADCASTING” where he discussed the evolution of sports broadcasting and how digital platforms continue to change the way audiences experience sports today.
To conclude the morning session, Alejandro Neri shared his talk entitled: “PRESSURE UNDER FIRE: EYES BEHIND THE LENS” giving participants a closer look into the realities, challenges, and responsibilities of capturing defining moments in sports.

The Triple Play Sports Exhibit and Conference has officially kicked off with the ribbon-cutting ceremony for the Sports Exhibit, marking the start of an exciting celebration of sports, innovation, and learning.
The Conference program formally opened with the invocation, national anthem, and opening remarks by IPEA Institute Secretary Prof. Jerome A. Porto, setting the tone for a meaningful and inspiring event ahead.
