How to enter:
1. Like the British Embassy Manila page (www.facebook.com/ukinthephilippines)
2. Upload your 30-second ‘audition’ video belting out your favourite British song on our Rockaoke Video Contest Tab.
· Entrants must first introduce themselves and mention the title and artist of the song they’re singing at the start of their video.
Reminders on video uploading:
- Entrants must upload their videos on Youtube/Vimeo accounts and then post the URL on our GREAT British Rockaoke contest Tab
3. All video submissions will be pre-screened to ensure compliance with the guidelines
Duration:
* We will accept entries from 4 – 18 February 2015
* Voting period will be from 5 – 22 February 2015
Guidelines on Facebook voting:
* Submitted videos will be posted on British Embassy Manila’s page within 24 hours of submission.
* Facebook voting will start at 0800 on 5 February until 23:59 on 22 February.
* To vote, ‘Like’ the British Embassy Manila page, go to the GREAT British Rockaoke Contest Tab and click the ‘Vote’ button under your favourite video.
Selection of Finalists:
* Out of the Top 50 most voted videos, we will be selecting 8 finalists who will be performing at the GREAT Rockaoke Finale on 27 February. The finalists will get a chance to win a trip for 2 to the UK courtesy of Etihad Airways and other prizes.
- The five (5) most voted videos will automatically advance to the finals
- An additional three (3) will be selected by the judges panel
Announcement of Finalists:
- The finalists will be announced on our page on February 23 (Monday).
