SC CORRECTS HONTIVEROS: League of Cities Ruling ‘Not Unanimous’

The Supreme Court on Friday set the record straight, clarifying that its decision in the controversial League of Cities case—cited earlier by Senator Risa Hontiveros—“was not unanimous.”

The clarification comes after Hontiveros referenced the ruling in a public statement, implying strong consensus from the High Court. But the SC stressed that multiple justices had dissented, underscoring that the ruling was more divided than initially portrayed.

Summon all officials allocated confidential funds. Let's be fair; don't single out the VP. Everyone must be accountable and transparent about how they used their confidential funds (CF). They're unfairly targeting the VP to deflect blame. They often involve Duterte to avoid accountability.

Those who did not comply with the Supreme Court should be held in contempt and prosecuted.

Ang daming congressional hearings, nakalimutan natin mag tanong about the most important questions facing Filipinos today, Ito ang dapat bigyan ninyo ng kasagutan mga mahal naming mambabatas:

✅ San ginastos ang 4 trillion pesos na utang ng BBM government in the last two years alone (Duterte had a 7 trillion debt for 6 years but we had Covid, Marawi, and BBB) eh wala namang nakikitang major projects.

✅ Anong nangyari sa Alitagtag drug haul na biggest daw pero wala ni isang nanagot? Nasaan ang drugs? Nasaan ang driver? Nasan ang hearing?

✅ Saan ang breakdown of expenses ng ayuda na 500 billion pesos at sino sino nakatanggap? Meaning Romualdez used it like campaign money without accountability. Kaya umubos ni Martin ng 100 million pesos upwards per day para ipamudmod. 10k a person daw, pero usually kalahati lang natatanggap ng mga tao. Sa sistema nyang bulok, tinuruan at enable nya ang mga maliliit na trabahador ng gobyerno maging corrupt at gahaman. Training people as low level as coordinators and Barangay captains be like him. If we are not careful, MARTIN ROMUALDEZ will enable a new generation of politicians to be exactly like him.

✅ Asan exactly yung flood control projects located, and who constructed them? 1 billion a day ang gastos dyan and people have the right to know. (61 billion for Bicol region alone)

✅ Saan ginamit ang 90 billion na kinuha nila sa Philheath fund? Hirap ang tao maghanap ng budget for their health needs pero Kinuha nyo sa Philhealth imbes idagdag.

✅PNP CHIEF MARBIL, vain and weak former regional director in Leyte of Romualdez, has not released a memo and a directive to create a task force to focus on looking for the increasing number of missing children. Pero may memo sya na lahat ng pulis dapat naka like and follow at mag share ng personal page nya. Take note: Not PNP page. His personal page. They have to create reports of how many PNP members and who among them share and like his posts.

✅Bakit sobrang dami ng lotto winners? Bakit nag fake ng photo of receiver?

✅ Bakit walang vaccines ang mga baby sa Barangay health center? Totoo ba na ang cause of delay is that they want other suppliers who will give them other “arrangements” kaya ang tagal? More than one year na ang problema sa kakulangan ng vaccines. There are babies and toddlers out there crawling around without the most basic protection from the most basic of illnesses.

✅ Bakit kulang ng vaccines for tetanus and rabies? Bakit nagbabayad na tayo kung dati naman ay libre?

✅ Nasaan na ang Maharlika Funds? Saan ininvest, bakit doon ininvest? May na invest na nga ba? Ano ang accountability sa mga Pilipino?

✅ Sa privatization ng NAIA, walang magawa ang tao kasi sabi ninyo walang funds ang government kaya bilyonaryo ang hahawak kasi sila may funds. Pero bakit nauna mag taas ng fees ang NAIA bago mag pakita ng pagbabago? Shouldn’t the billionaires pay for whatever changes they want to institute first and then we can pay right after? Isn’t this the point of getting private investors? Eh di sana nag taas na lang ng fees ang government kung pareho lang.

✅Bakit ibinigay ang ₱100,000,000 kada araw na kita ng Malampaya sa kaibigang oligarko sa halip na mapunta sa gobyerno at sa taong bayan?? BAKIT??

✅ Bakit binawi sa IP community sa Boracay ang CLOA (certificate of land title) in favor of oligarchs na nabigay na sa kanila yon, with approval of the departments concerned?

✅ Ano ang totoong kapalit sa mushrooming of EDCA sites?

✅ To much applause and with standing ovation, BBM announced tatanggalin ang POGO—or offshore online gaming targeting mainland Chinese with operators operating in the Philippines. Much of the budget from the Duterte administration to fund local hospitals came from the taxes remitted by POGO. Number one, Hindi totoong tinanggal lahat. Pangalawa, imbes na Chinese ang lulong sa gambling, inencourage complete with billboards and apps ang local online gaming with local influencers. Ang dami nang Pilipinong nasira ang buhay. So Hindi pwede ang POGO pero pwede yung mga run and owned by oligarchs na nakakasira ng kapwa Pilipino?

✅ Taxes namin ang budget ng congress. Bakit di kaya mag bigay ng resibo ang mga congressmen Saan ginagastos ang pera ng bansa?

✅ Nagbenta tayo ng 25 tonnes of gold just this year alone, the biggest we’ve sold. But we don’t see the revenues from the sale. Saan ginamit ng gobyerno ang pera? Even PRRD never sold this much gold during Covid when it was a trend by many countries to sell gold to fund their countries response to COVID.

✅ Saan galing ang funds para ipa demolish ang dating Presidential residence sa Malacañang na perfectly okay and maganda pa, so they can rebuild a villa with all the luxurious creature comforts only months into their administration? Pera ng taumbayan? Anong budget sa pagpapagawa ng residence ng mga Marcos sa Malacañang?

✅ Bakit di nyo kasuhan si Cathy Binag and Maharlika for saying BBM and Liza, along with their children, are drug users? Akala ko sabi ng First Lady she will go after anyone who includes her children.

✅ PHILHEALTH FUNDS, KINUHA PARA SA UNPROGRAMMED FUNDS.

Election nanaman, dito kayo magpakitang gilas. We demand answers!

Hindi man lang idinaan sa local na korte! Ikaw din Bobong Marcos ang nag dissolved ng PACC na binuilt ni FPRRD para malabanan ang korapsyon. Hindi mo ba naaalala na yan ang una mong inalis ? Para malaya ba kayong makakurakot???
