We have completed our Dancing to Drum Rhythms class term this July-August and a big kudos to all the dancers who attended our weekly online classes.

We have covered different rhythms commonly heard in Egyptian music and have explored various vocabulary of movements to interpret such rhythms. From maqsoum to masmoudi to bambi to fellahi and many more.

The last two weeks were dedicated to choreographing a short drum solo for our dancers to learn and execute.

Thank you for all your energy in class.

Look out for more upcoming classes under the Academy and we hope to see you there!
