PHI-NADO JOINS GLOBAL ANTI-DOPING LEADERS AT GAIIN FINAL WORKSHOP IN NEW DELHI

The Philippine National Anti-Doping Organization (PHI-NADO) participated in the Final Conference of the Global Anti-Doping Intelligence & Investigations Network held on April 16, 2026 in New Delhi, India, marking the culmination of the network’s Asia/Oceania expansion phase. Representing PHI-NADO at the summit was Mr. Cesar D. Cordero Jr., Administrative Assistant II.

The high-level conference brought together stakeholders from over 65 countries, alongside key international partners such as INTERPOL and EUROPOL, to strengthen a coordinated global approach against doping in sport.

Leaders from the World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA), including President Witold Bańka and Intelligence & Investigations (I&I) Director Gunter Younger, highlighted the growing importance of targeting athlete support personnel and trafficking networks. The conference emphasized strengthening legal frameworks to hold coaches, medical professionals, and suppliers accountable for their role in doping violations.

On the other hand, a key regional focus was India’s role in the global pharmaceutical supply chain. Mansukh Mandaviya, India’s Minister of Youth Affairs and Sports, announced plans to introduce criminal provisions for the trafficking and administration of PEDs, reinforcing the country’s commitment to anti-doping reforms.

Looking ahead, WADA outlined the continued expansion of GAIIN into the Americas by 2026-2027, followed by Africa in 2028-2029. The initiative signals a long-term global commitment to intelligence-led anti-doping strategies and deeper collaboration with law enforcement and customs agencies.

PHI-NADO’s participation in the GAIIN Final Conference reaffirms its commitment to strengthening intelligence-driven anti-doping efforts and aligning with international best practices as it continues to enhance its investigative capabilities and contribute to the protection of clean sport both nationally and internationally.

The outreach program featured interactive games that highlighted and reinforced the core values of clean sport. Informational flyers and brochures were also distributed to participants to further support their understanding of anti-doping principles.

A total of 511 participants took part in fun games and prizes over five days, with daily engagement recorded as follows:

April 13 – 74
April 14 – 53
April 15 – 100
April 16 – 131

PHI-NADO emphasized that education remains a critical pillar in safeguarding athletes and preserving the spirit of competition. By reaching athletes at key national events such as the 2026 PSC-Wushu National Championships, the organization ensures that clean sport principles are embedded early and consistently across all levels of Philippine sport.

PHI-NADO remains steadfast in its mission to build a culture where every Filipino athlete competes with integrity—playing true and winning clean.

PLAY TRUE, WIN CLEAN.

What started as conversations became commitments.
What we shared became actions.

This , let's take a look back on the past year, wherein we brought anti-doping education to those who matter the most—reinforcing that clean sport begins with informed decisions.

Here at PHI-NADO, anti-doping education remains at the heart of what we do—empowering athletes and safeguarding clean sport.

The work continues. The mission stays the same.

It starts with YOU.

MY BODY. MY CHOICE. MY RESPONSIBILITY.
One decision. Full accountability.

This , we reinforce the principle of strict liability in sport—athletes are accountable for any substance found in their system.

Because in every choice, responsibility remains.

It starts with YOU.

Katawan Ko. Desisyon Ko. Pananagutan Ko.
