Mat monsters visit us here at MBC!

Last Saturday, April 25, four of our trainees who attended our last training session (on April 18: https://www.facebook.com/share/p/18RDVaac28/) hauled MEDALS in the respective grappling events they joined: 5 golds and 1 bronze! 🥇🥇🥇🥇🥇🥉

Team Alex of Over limit Manila Jiu-Jitsu delivered again: Brothers Anton and Jack won 2 gold medals apiece, and their father Alex earned a bronze in the 2026 Guam Marianas Pro BJJ event!

Karoly of the Quezon City Judo Team and 214 Fitness Gym/Team Nueva Ecija, for her part, swept her matches to end up on top of the podium as the no. 1 ranked judoka in NCRJA Philippines' Judo Ranking Tournament 1st Leg in the -52kg. women's category!

From different generations, from different teams, but all together for a fun Saturday afternoon of grappling! This time around, we have another paternal set in Sir Paul and son Andrei! 🕊️ AND, we were secretly visited by a mysterious BJJ black belt from Brazil who trained and sparred with us—and he might come back in the coming Saturdays. 🥋 (Clue: He took this photo! 😅)

(We seriously considered cropping out the upper half of the photo, but why not flex our dojo's high celing? And this is a literal case of one-upmanship. ;) )

It's our final session of the year 2025! Glad that we're able able to eke out one last training session before the year ends. We also finally convinced our shy training dummy to be included in the group photo to make him, and us, feel less lonely. (He's still not into hand signs, though, but we'll never question his loyalty.)
