A FRIENDLY MESSAGE FROM DAHUNOG DBLC
We would like to respectfully address the concerns regarding the sound from our band practices.
As members of the Dahunog Drum, Bugle, and Lyre Corps (DBLC), we are currently preparing for the upcoming Provincial Meet, where we hope to represent our school proudly. Our practice schedule is usually from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM, around three to four times a week, depending on our members’ availability, schoolwork, and other responsibilities. We do not practice every day, as we also prioritize our studies and other commitments.
We understand that the sound of our instruments may sometimes cause inconvenience, and we sincerely appreciate the community’s patience and understanding. We hope you can also understand that these practices are important for our preparation and help us develop discipline, teamwork, and responsibility as students.
For legal context, RA 9155 concerns the governance of basic education and the responsibilities of school heads, while RA 7160 provides the framework for local government powers, including local ordinances. Article 694 of RA 386 defines nuisance. We respect applicable rules and believe that any concerns can be discussed respectfully with our school administration to find a reasonable solution for everyone.
We value our community and do not wish to cause conflict. We simply hope for mutual understanding as we work hard toward an important school competition.
Thank you for your patience, consideration, and continued support. Let us work together in fostering a community built on respect, understanding, and cooperation.
Padayon, Dahunog DBLC! 🥁🎺
