After my first baby - all I wanted to do was get back into exercise. After all, I had been training and coaching for years, and I thought I knew my body well, so I went straight back into it after getting doctor's clearance.

I ended up getting injured - I made my diastasis recti worse, developed a hernia and pelvic floor dysfunction.😓 the postpartum core is separated and imbalanced and cannot handle the pressure caused by exercises your pre baby body used to know how to do.

So I vowed to learn the right way to get back into exercise after giving birth, and to help other mamas too.

Read this if your mommy tummy/pouch won't go away‼️

First of all I want to start by saying that your mommy tummy is an amazing reminder of the journey and battle that you won and the greatest feat our body will ever achieve 💪🏼

BUT - I do understand it can also be a reminder of how much you have changed, and how much control you've lost over your body and sense of self.

Diastasis recti is the separation of our abs during pregnancy. All Mamas will have some degree of diastasis by the time they deliver.

1/3 of all Mamas will still have this and overall core dysfunction even YEARS later 😱

You know you have diastasis recti and core dysfunction if you have these symptoms:

-feeling of being bloated all the time, or having a flat tummy in the morning and finding you have a big tummy at night!

- being short of breath quickly or all the time, or feeling like you can't take a deep enough breath

- feeling fatigued ALL THE TIME even if you've had decent sleep

- back pain and/or neck pain/ constant ache or "ngalay" feeling

- pain/tearing sensation in your abs when you perform traditional ab exercises

- coning (tummy becomes pointy) when you lean back or crunch up

- weakness in the core or feeling like your core just isn't there and body feels so disconnected

- p*e leaks, inability to hold p*e, feeling pressure or pain in va**na

- a persistent mommy pouch or looking pregnant looong past giving birth!

If you have one or some of these-- please don't freak out!!

Your body has the capacity to restore and rebuild, it just needs the right tools -- and the right coach 🙋‍♀️
