UP Manila, Are You Distance Learning Ready?

Rise for Education (R4E) Alliance - UP Manila is an alliance of student councils, publications, organizations, and individuals who believe that education should be made accessible to all.

During these trying times, we have seen how callous and insensitive the current education system to the needs and demands of students in not heeding calls to end the semester and stop online classes and to implement the mass promotion. The public health crisis is aggravated by the economic crisis from the government's failing response and will now result in an education crisis as the government continues to be unable to curb the spread of COVID-19 despite hundreds of billions spent. Those who are able and can afford have now started or continued with their schooling in private schools. While those who do not have the resources or are relying on the public school system is left to the government's lack of clear plans to recovery.

This survey aims to gauge the readiness of UP Manila students in the upcoming implementation of distance learning in the university. The results of this survey will inform the campaigns to be launched by the alliance in asserting our right to education.
