Hiraya Performance | JHS Recognition Day

A magical and heartwarming moment unfolded during the Junior High School Recognition Day as the Salinlahi Dance Troupe presented their inspiring performance entitled “Hiraya.”
More than just a dance, it became a celebration of dreams, unity, and shared joy, made even more special as the awardees joined in and became part of the performance itself.

Inspired by the Filipino concept of hiraya, which represents hopes, dreams, and aspirations, the presentation beautifully reflected the journey of every learner. What began as a captivating showcase by the Salinlahi Dance Troupe soon transformed into a vibrant community dance, where the awardees enthusiastically imitated and followed the movements on stage.

This unique interaction created an atmosphere filled with energy, excitement, and connection. Seeing the students our very own achievers, dance along with confidence and smiles made the moment even more meaningful. It symbolized that success is not only celebrated individually, but also shared as one community moving toward the same dreams.

The choreography remained graceful and expressive, but the addition of participation brought a new layer of joy and inclusivity. Today, we celebrate one of the shining stars of Batch 1 of the MCS Dance Troupe, the one and only Shamir Audrey!

From the very beginning, Shamir Audrey has been a part of the memories that made Batch 1 legendary. From our first rehearsals, when no one knew the steps but you somehow tried to keep up, to those marathon practice days where laughter and chaos were just as much a part of the routine as the dance itself: you were there, making every moment unforgettable.

We still remember the countless bloopers, the “last-run” moments that turned into five more, the dramatic expressions on stage, and, of course, all the times you somehow managed to make everyone laugh even when the choreography went sideways. Truly, you brought life, energy, and spirit to every rehearsal and performance.

But beyond the fun and the chaos, Shamir Audrey, you’ve also been an inspiration to the newer batches, showing that dedication, passion, and a love for dance are what make a troupe not just a group, but a family. With hearts full of pride and admiration, we celebrate the outstanding and unforgettable performance of the Salinlahi Dance Troupe during the MCIS Ani ng Sining 2026 Celebration for both the Elementary and Junior High School Departments!

Their powerful dance rendition of “BAGANI” was more than just a performance, it was a living expression of strength, courage, discipline, and deep respect for our Filipino heritage. Every step, every beat, and every formation reflected the spirit of a true Bagani, a warrior not only in battle, but in character, leadership, and passion.
