Are you struggling with an over the top move thus causing your path to go to much to the left or out to in? Try out these feels!

Feel is unlikely what's real. Don't be afraid to exxagerate especially in the driving range. To make even the smallest changes at times you need to do the complete opposite of what you're doing.

As a huge golf nerd, I've long admired Dr. 's work. So when announced a workshop with him, I signed up instantly. The chance to pick Dr. Kwon's brain and receive personalized analysis made it an unforgettable experience. More tools added to the toolbox, exciting stuff!




Obviously swing mechanics have a major role in a player's ability to generate swing speed but it is far from the only factor. With these 4 keys I have been able to increase my swing speed as well as other distance metrics over the past few years with minimal mechanical changes to my swing.

1. Intent of Speed
Trying to Swing the club faster in order to swing faster sounds like common sense but it is easier said than done. Most players already have the ability to swing much faster than they normally do, They just have to train themselves to tap into that ability on a regular basis.

2. Feedback From a Speed Measuring Device
The accuracy of the device to your actual speed is not important, The device is just a tool to measure progress. with that being said the options for devices range from high end launch monitors to more affordable personal devices/sensors/apps.

3. Strength Training
I personally have experienced the most speed gains I have ever had in the past year Just doing "pure" strength training/powerlifting style programming. While I do believe there are Easier and "safer" training methods to gain speed, I enjoyed this kind of training which led to me being more consistent than with previous programs. I can go deeper into my own personal training philosophies in a future post, but for now I will tag Instagram accounts that I believe have really good strength and speed training content.

4. Proper Club Fitting
If you have never gotten your Clubs fit for you, then you are more than likely losing out on some easy speed and distance. I was guilty of this myself, choosing shafts and clubs just because they were what my favorite player was using at the time. But every player and swing is unique, what Set-up works for others will probably not work on you. If you have gotten fit in the past It's a good idea to get checked again once in a while, especially if you are actively making an effort to get better or faster. What set-up worked in the past could no longer be optimal for the current state of your game due to swing or speed changes.
