BACOLOD SWIMMERS, NAGHARI BILANG OVERALL CHAMPION SA BANGKOK

BACOLOD CITY, Philippines — Nagkampeon ang Team Philippines sa AOSI Short Course Championships 2026 na ginanap sa Bangkok, Thailand noong Agosto 29–30, matapos magpakitang-gilas ang mga batang swimmers mula sa SCONA-SLP The Patriot.

Nanguna sa medal haul si Mark Jacob Sabas na nakakuha ng limang gold at isang bronze medal. Sinundan siya nina Jancel Berueda na may dalawang gold, isang silver at isang bronze, at Martin John M. Dela Peña na may isang gold, isang silver at dalawang bronze.

Nag-ambag din sa kampanya ng Team Philippines sina Terrence Adriel Marquez, Jerson James D. Labandilo, Kiera Lois L. Guaro, Mary Pauline R. Fernandez, Mary Elizabeth R. Fernandez, Joeff Renzo B. Soliva, Martina Raine M. Dela Peña, Jazzmyn Kay B. Soliva, at Edrian G. Chua, na kapwa nag-uwi ng mga medalya sa kanilang mga event.

Samantala, ipinakita rin nina Summer Kate Chan, Zaire Astrid Epistola, Jarred Riley Murillo, Sidney Kiefer Chan, Cris Robert Salveron, Jose Adrien Beatingo, Miko Hinolan, Gabrielle Catoto, Sophia Blaire Epistola, Izela Amber Beatingo, Micah Francieska D. Gonzales, Reian Isabelle H. Canson, at Mark Angelo B. Casilao ang kanilang husay at determinasyon sa kompetisyon.

Kinilala rin bilang Best Coaches sina Rondave Marquez, John Paul Fernandez, at Edmon Chua matapos gabayan ang kanilang mga atleta sa matagumpay na kampanya.

Hindi ito ang unang championship ng Team Philippines sa Bangkok ngayong taon, matapos din nitong masungkit ang 2026 Long Course Competition noong Enero 29 hanggang Pebrero 1.

Patunay ang resulta sa patuloy na pag-angat ng mga batang Filipino swimmers sa international competitions.
