Filipino volleyball stars Bernadeth Pons, Sisi Rondina, and Bryan Bagunas are set to be recognized at the 1st AVC Gala Awards Night on August 8, 2026, in Bangkok, Thailand.

The three national team standouts will be among the athletes honored by the Asian Volleyball Confederation for their outstanding achievements and contributions to Asian volleyball over the past season.

Their recognition highlights the continued presence of Philippine volleyball on the continental stage and celebrates the success of Filipino athletes competing at the highest level.

Thailand's title defense in the 2026 SEA V Cup is set to receive a major boost as veteran setter Pornpun Guedpard rejoins the squad for Leg 2 on home soil in Chiang Mai.

Her return comes after Thailand captured the Leg 1 championship behind the outstanding play of Natthanicha Jaisaen, who orchestrated the team's offense and earned the Best Setter award.

With both Guedpard and Jaisaen available, Thailand now boasts one of the deepest setter combinations in Southeast Asia. Their presence gives the defending champions greater flexibility in running their offense while maximizing the strengths of their attackers.

As the tournament shifts to Chiang Mai from August 7 to 9, Thailand enters Leg 2 with an even more formidable lineup as it looks to complete another successful SEA V Cup campaign.
