𝐈𝐍 𝐋𝐎𝐕𝐈𝐍𝐆 𝐌𝐄𝐌𝐎𝐑𝐘 𝐎𝐅 𝐂𝐎𝐀𝐂𝐇 𝐋𝐀𝐔𝐑𝐄𝐍𝐂𝐄 "𝐂𝐎𝐀𝐂𝐇 𝐃𝐀𝐆𝐒" 𝐃𝐀𝐆𝐔𝐈𝐎 💙🕊️

Today, the 𝗖𝗡𝗟𝗖𝗦𝗖𝗔 𝗙𝗮𝗺𝗶𝗹𝘆 mourns the passing of one of our own, a beloved coach, mentor, leader, and friend — 𝗖𝗼𝗮𝗰𝗵 𝗟𝗮𝘂𝗿𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲 "𝗖𝗼𝗮𝗰𝗵 𝗗𝗮𝗴𝘀" 𝗗𝗮𝗴𝘂𝗶𝗼, Head Coach of Baguio Blu Waves Swim Team.

For many years, Coach Dags was more than a coach. He was a brother to fellow coaches, a father figure to countless swimmers, and a pillar of the Central Northern Luzon Cordillera Swimming Coaches Association (CNLCSCA). His passion for swimming, dedication to athlete development, and unwavering commitment to our community helped shape generations of swimmers throughout Northern Luzon and beyond.

As we prepare for what was supposed to be a celebration of swimming at Rookie Ripples North 2026, our hearts are heavy with grief. Yet even in this difficult moment, we are reminded of the values Coach Dags lived by — unity, perseverance, sportsmanship, and love for the sport.

𝗜𝗻 𝗵𝗼𝗻𝗼𝗿 𝗼𝗳 𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝗹𝗶𝗳𝗲 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗹𝗲𝗴𝗮𝗰𝘆, 𝗥𝗼𝗼𝗸𝗶𝗲 𝗥𝗶𝗽𝗽𝗹𝗲𝘀 𝗡𝗼𝗿𝘁𝗵 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲 𝘄𝗶𝗹𝗹 𝗻𝗼𝘄 𝗯𝗲 𝗱𝗲𝗱𝗶𝗰𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗱 𝗮𝘀 𝗮 𝗕𝗲𝗻𝗲𝗳𝗶𝘁 𝗦𝘄𝗶𝗺 𝗠𝗲𝗲𝘁 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗖𝗼𝗮𝗰𝗵 𝗗𝗮𝗴𝘀 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝗳𝗮𝗺𝗶𝗹𝘆. 𝗘𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘆 𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗿𝘆, 𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘆 𝗿𝗮𝗰𝗲, 𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘆 𝗺𝗲𝗱𝗮𝗹, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘆 𝗰𝗵𝗲𝗲𝗿 𝘄𝗶𝗹𝗹 𝘀𝗲𝗿𝘃𝗲 𝗮𝘀 𝗮 𝘁𝗿𝗶𝗯𝘂𝘁𝗲 𝘁𝗼 𝗮 𝗺𝗮𝗻 𝘄𝗵𝗼 𝗱𝗲𝘃𝗼𝘁𝗲𝗱 𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝗹𝗶𝗳𝗲 𝘁𝗼 𝗵𝗲𝗹𝗽𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗼𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗿𝘀 𝗴𝗿𝗼𝘄 𝗯𝗼𝘁𝗵 𝗶𝗻 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗼𝘂𝘁 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗽𝗼𝗼𝗹.

The entire CNLCSCA Family, together with his friends from the Swim League Philippines community, joins his loved ones in mourning this tremendous loss and celebrating a life that touched so many.

Though Coach Dags may no longer stand on the pool deck, his voice, wisdom, and legacy will continue to guide swimmers and coaches for generations to come.
