A farewell to an airline that holds a special place in my heart. Jetstar Asia wasn't just a carrier; it was the airline that gave me my first "big plane" experience. I'll always be grateful for those memories, from the excitement of that first flight to the consistent comfort of every trip that followed. The fact that I never had any ear pain and always looked forward to the great food made every journey even more enjoyable.

Thank you, Jetstar Asia, for the smooth rides and wonderful memories. You will be missed. ✈️

JUST IN: Flight 5J571 (Manila to Cebu) was scheduled to depart earlier at 1605H PhST when the Pilot-in-Command (PIC) reported an incident involving a bomb joke made by one of the passengers. While stowing his carry-on baggage in the overhead bin, the passenger allegedly told a cabin crew member, "may granada 'to" ("there's a gr***de in this bag"). The remark prompted the PIC to request a full security check of the aircraft, which led to the deplaning of all passengers and the offloading of all baggage and cargo for inspection. The Philippine National Police (PNP) deployed a K9 unit to inspect the aircraft and obtained a statement from the cabin crew member involved. The passenger, his companion, and their checked baggage were offloaded and turned over to the PNP for further processing. The security check was completed by 1730H PhST, after which re-boarding and cargo reloading commenced, with the aircraft's doors finally closing at 1837H PhST. The flight is now en route to Cebu.

Passengers are reminded that making bomb jokes or any remarks suggesting the presence of explosives — whether in jest or not — is a serious criminal offense under Philippine law. Such statements, regardless of intent, can trigger full security protocols, cause significant delays, and result in offloading, arrest, and potential prosecution. Authorities treat these incidents with zero tolerance, as they compromise the safety and security of all passengers and crew. Travelers are urged to act responsibly and avoid any behavior or language that could be interpreted as a threat while onboard or within airport premises.

NOTE: (Profile was hidden, Nomad) Due to the glitches of the Nomad Mania site. The ranking was based on the Nomad Mania points ranking, (Although they have the same total number of countries, they are also counting territories and other geological sites.) Some of the numbers may not 'up to date', feel free to message the team to update the count of the UN countries you have visited. Thank you.

FYI ⚠️ If you can only use the default 7kg carry on baggage, less hassle for you. But if you need to check-in your luggage and a delay happen you can do the following:

1. Claim your insurance (double-check if your airline does include this) and if you actually bought it

2. Check if the airline will shoulder the delivery to hotel of your luggage and when

3. Always bring your valuables and time-sensitive things with you on your carry on

4. Clothes shopping on day 1 😅

5. Bring at least a few set clothes on your carry on and just do the laundry (check if your hotel has a laundry service or a nearby on)

6. Book a luggage delivery service

7. Have it shipped instead (for long-term trips)

More complaints seem to be in store as the new private management of Naia warned the situation may persist in the coming months—especially during the expected surge in travelers for the Nov. 1 and Nov. 2 break, and the holiday season.
