They say you’re only as young as your spine is flexible.
Maybe not literally.
But there is something true in the idea that a healthy spine should be able to move, adapt, support you, and respond to the demands of life.
A backbend is not simply about flexibility.
It asks for mobility through the spine, strength through the legs and shoulders, control through the core, and enough awareness to know when to go deeper and when to stop.
And maybe life asks for something similar.
Some seasons ask us to hold more than we thought we could.
The answer is not always to become harder.
Sometimes resilience means staying strong enough to support yourself while remaining flexible enough to adapt.
You do not have to force openness.
You do not have to prove how far you can bend.
Move with strength.
Move with awareness.
Keep enough space in yourself to respond.
Because perhaps staying “young” is less about how far your spine can bend…
and more about remaining capable of movement, adaptation, and possibility.
Save this for your next practice, or share it with someone who needs the reminder.
