✅ "MDP 2025: LEAD Forward" Mission Accomplished! ✨
A total of 715 leaders of the company joined this nationwide learning journey called the Management Development Program! Their engagement, energy, insights, and desire to learn made every session sooo worth the effort --- even when I started feeling the effects of cumulative fatigue midway through --- right after Batch 5 in Davao. 😅
Through it all, my hope is that I was able to truly live out my mission statement: Guide (direction) • Spark (motivation) • Generate (action) --- and that every participant felt even a little of that throughout the program!
This journey would not have been possible without the people who walked with me:
🌠 Sir Dondie Bueno and Ma’am Sheree Ann Daguplo, who were present in all batches except for 2 when they had to be on an official trip abroad ➡️ Your support made everything lighter!
🌠 Mildred Santos, who handled so much of the legwork and admin requirements ➡️ BIG, BIG help! Always efficient! 💚
🌠 John Marly Candila, who was with us across all GMA and Luzon sessions to ensure the cleanliness and orderliness of the venue ➡️ Always dependable!
To everyone who participated, assisted, supported, and believed in this program, thank you! You helped bring this journey to life!
And now, I officially sign off from MDP 2025.
Time to switch hats again --- this time to prepare for our Company Christmas Party and begin the groundwork for our 30th Anniversary celebrations early next year!

Over the years, I have consistently shared the programs and initiatives I lead, facilitate, organize in the workplace --- not for applause, but because I believe that visibility sparks engagement, and engagement strengthens culture. It has always been part of my commitment to help guide teams, inspire action, and create meaningful experiences across the organization --- and even beyond.
Lately, I’ve noticed that many others, including former colleagues, actively posting their activities as well.
I can’t help but smile! 😊
Not out of pride, but out of a quiet satisfaction that the value of what I have been doing aaallllll along is now being recognized and replicated. Moments like this affirm and validate my mission: Guide (direction) * Spark (motivation) * Generate (action).

Creating a personal Mission Statement is more than just putting words together --- it’s about defining your purpose.
Purpose fuels passion, passion drives motivation. When you know your why, you gain clarity in your direction and conviction in your actions.
I recently revisited my own mission statement --- a simple yet powerful play on my initials GSG: Guide (direction) – Spark (motivation) – Generate (action).
This serves as my compass in everything I do. It reminds me everyday that to live with purpose is to live with meaning.
As I continue to facilitate our Management Development Program (MDP) training series for our nearly 800 leaders nationwide, I have each participant write their own Mission Statement --- to define their why. Because when leaders lead with purpose, they inspire others to do the same.
As Simon Sinek said in his book "Start With Why": “People don’t buy what you do, they buy why you do it.”

ALAM N'YO BA that one of the biggest killers of teamwork is silence?
Yup! Not mistakes. Not bad ideas. But people who choose to stay quiet - afraid to speak up, afraid to disagree, afraid to be misunderstood.
Let’s admit it: Tayong mga Pilipino, we were raised to "just follow".
- ‘Wag kang kontrabida.
- ‘Wag kang kokontra sa boss.
So even when we have ideas or when we see problems, we stay quiet because we don’t want to be seen as adversarial.
But here’s the thing: Being silent doesn’t mean being respectful. Sometimes, it means simply being afraid.
PSYCHOLOGICAL SAFETY, a topic I have discussing in my trainjng sessions, means creating a space where people feel safe to speak up — to ask questions, to share ideas, even to admit mistakes — without fear of being judged or embarrassed or humilated or scolded.
It’s not about being "palaban". It’s about trust.
When a team has psychological safety, people don’t compete to be right — they collaborate to make things better.
When teams feel safe to speak up, ideas flow faster.
Problems get solved earlier.
Innovation happens more naturally.
And guess what? Studies show that teams with high psychological safety outperform others — they’re more engaged (employee engagement), more creative (quality solutions and innovation), and less likely to quit (retention).
So if you’re a leader, make your people feel heard!
If you’re part of a team, learn to speak up with respect.
Because silence might keep things peaceful, but openness keeps things progressing.
Remember, growth starts when people feel safe to share.

We’ve officially reached the midpoint of our "LEAD Forward (Supervisor Excellence Series)" Management Development Program 2025 --- 5 batches completed --- with a total of 289 active and engaged participants trained nationwide! 🫰
It has been an incredibly fulfilling experience so far. And so tiring too! I believe the success of this program lies heavily in 2 key areas:
✅ Relevant and practical topics, especially the module on Stress Management and Time Management, which resonate deeply with many of our supervisors, mid-managers, and managers 💡
✅ Engaging learning activities - from writing exercises that promote ownership and accountability, to interactive games that bring out everyone’s competitive spirit, regardless of personality type or generation 🎯
A 3rd area would be the enthusiastic and passionate facilitator! Chariiizzz! 😝
These sessions remind me that learning is most powerful when it’s felt, lived, and enjoyed!
Now, as we prepare for the remaining 5 batches, I’m as energized as ever to continue this journey — one session, one insight, and one “Aha!” moment at a time! Let's go!!!
