The Aktibo Dabawenyo Program began as an online fitness initiative by the Davao City Sports Development Division in August 2020. It has since evolved into a community sports program with grassroots clinics and partnerships to give young Dabawenyos more sports opportunities.

Now in full swing, the Aktibo Dabawenyo Grassroots Summer Sports Clinics continue to engage young participants in various sports disciplines, including exciting water-based clinics in kayaking, stand-up paddleboarding, and dragon boat—designed to develop strength, teamwork, confidence, and technical skills on the water.

Open to youth aged 8 to 16, the program provides fun, safe, and skill-building opportunities for aspiring Dabawenyo athletes while supporting the city’s grassroots sports development efforts to discover and nurture future athletic talent.

Implemented in partnership with local sports associations, the program promotes discipline, teamwork, and a healthy, active lifestyle while expanding access to sports through both citywide and barangay-level training programs.
