Daryll bought a 2021 Trek Checkpoint ALR frame second hand and wanted to transfer the parts of his Pinewood Katana to it. Aside from the necessary parts, he also bought some Shimano dual sided pedals to start riding clipless, a brand new cockpit (combination of Traction and The Project), a Da Bomb top cap, and a roll of PRO cork bartape. What a build! 🔥

Eugene is not just a mechanic, he’s a competitive and endurance cyclist too. Under his guidance, we put together a small team to participate at the Shimano Cycle Fest MTB XC race last March 15, 2026 🙏
