We may not have claimed the fifth spot just yet, but the Philippines is knocking on the door—sitting just one gold medal away from moving up the ranks.

The Philippines remains in 6th place in the overall standings with a haul of 17 gold, 30 silver, and 68 bronze medals.
There was a moment of celebration earlier when the Practical Shooting team swept 4 golds at the Eastern National Sports Training Center in Chonburi.
However, despite initially appearing on the SEA Games official website, these wins are not included in the official medal tally as the Thailand Sea Games Organizing Committee made an error with the results, thinking the events today in Practical Shooting are final.
This was also reaffirmed by the Philippine Practical Shooting Association to the POC management.
Regardless of the technicalities, our Filipino athletes continue to fight with heart especially that other combat sports, where we excel are coming.
After witnessing their sacrifices and dedication over the past four days, let us not waver in our support.
They represent our country with pride and bring much-needed positivity to the nation.
The challenge continues!

Down but never out.
We have slid to 6th place, but the fight is far from over.
The margins are razor-thin: we are just 1 gold away from 5th place and 4 golds away from the number 4 spot.
Our athletes continue to fight amidst adversity.
Let's not waver in our commitment to rally behind our athletes as they work to turn this campaign around.
