GLAUCOMA

👁️ Ano ito? Isang grupo ng sakit sa mata na sumisira sa optic nerve dahil sa sobrang pressure sa loob ng mata (IOP). Kapag nasira ito, hindi na maibabalik ang paningin (irreversible blindness).

⚠️ Sino ang at Risk?

May edad 40 pataas (tumataas ang risk habang tumatanda).

May mga kamag-anak na may history ng glaucoma (magulang o kapatid - 4-10x higher risk!).

Tayong mga Asyano, kababaihan, at mga nakatatanda.

🚫 Bakit marami ang nabulag?
Dahil sa kulang sa kaalaman, hindi pagtuloy sa gamutan, at huli na nang ma-diagnose ang sakit.

Alam niyo ba na ang glaucoma ay tinatawag na "Silent Thief of Sight"? Heto ang ilang seryosong numero na dapat nating malaman:

78 Million – Ang dami ng taong may glaucoma sa buong mundo ngayon. 🌎
