What a way to end the 1st Conference of Ventura Palawan-Albay Queens' Gambit! It was a close Play-in match against Cagayan De Oro (CMOCA) Team who got the twice to beat advantage in tonight's matches. The Queens were able to win the first match (10-11) but fell short on the second match. Nonetheless, it was a Conference well-played for the Queens and we are looking forward to a better and stronger comeback next Conference.

On behalf of the Queens, we would like to express our gratitude to our Team Owner, Ventura Corporation, for all the love and support not just to our team but most especially to the mission as to why this team was formed. Thank you so much to our very supportive and kind owner, Sir Obet Robles and to our team managers Sir Edd Cruz and Sir Beng Calalo. This team will not go far without you.

We would also like to thank all our loved ones and the people who believed and supported us throughout our PCAP journey. You are our inspiration and strength.

We would like to give our heartfelt thanks to PCAP, headed by our dynamic Chairman Michael Chua, our hardworking Commissioner Atty. Paul Elauria, Chief Arbiter Ferdie Reyes and to the rest of the Arbitration and Technical team - our deepest gratitude for the patience and for the professionalism in handling the competition.

Finally, we would like to thank each Team whom we have played with this conference. We have learned so much from each one of you and we look forward to give better matches in the next conferences. We wish you all the best especially those who made it to the Play Offs. May God bless this league.

Ventura Palawan-Albay Queens' Gambit team now signing off. See you again next conference. Viva Ventura at Mabuhay ang mga Pilipina!

Ventura Queens bowed down to Isabela Knight Raiders after their tight match scoring 9-12 during Game 1 this evening. However, despite the fall down, the Queens redeemed their selves immediately after winning their match against Cavite Spartans ending their match scoring 12-9. Still a beautiful evening for the Queens. πŸ‘‘

Despite the good news earlier on Match 1, the Queens bowed down against Davao, the current leading Team in South during Match 2. Taking a good stride on saving the Queens from a devastating defeat in Rapid Event is WCM Christy Lamiel Bernales who solely won her game in the Ladies Division. Still a night full of learnings for the Queens! Until the next game!

Let's Go, Let's Go!!! πŸ”₯πŸ‘‘πŸ™

Grateful night for the Ventura Queens! πŸ₯³

First time to record 2 straight wins this conference as the Queens were able to win the Armageddon Tie-Break against the good gentlemen of Cebu and winning their 1st game match for today against Tacloban!

Ventura Queens' Armageddon line up was led by former 8-time Olympian WIM Catherine PereΓ±a-Secopito and current PH Team members WIM Marie Antoinette San Diego (PH #4) and WFM Shania Mae Mendoza (PH #2). The Queens were able to secure the team's first ever win this Season 2 of PCAP.

WIM Secopito (White) and WIM San Diego (Black) won over Mr. Bryle Arellano and Mr. Ariel Joseph Abellana respectively. WFM Shania Mae Mendoza (White), despite the draw result against NM Elwin Retanal, was not able to make her score count since the rules in Armageddon states that players handling White pieces have to win their match and the Black must play for a draw to win. Yet again, still a big congratulations to the Team for their first win! πŸ‘‘πŸ₯³

Second win record of the Queens is another breath-taking fight against Tacloban Team, 11-10! Putting the sweetest smile on the Queens' faces tonight is their Senior player and Bicol's first Woman National Master, Carmelita Abanes who surprised everyone of her first win this conference against the veteran player, Dr. Leo Lofranco.

Ending tonight's magic however, is the great defeat against the solid Cagayan De Oro (CDO - RCM) Team. It would have been the best night for the Queens had they won but here's to claiming the positivity of learning and growing from every game they played. πŸ˜‡

The Queens would like to express their gratitude and respect to all their opponents for being professionals and good sportsmen. πŸ™

Let's Go, Queens! Let's Go! πŸ‘‘πŸ˜„

Tight games for Ventura Queens last night! πŸ‘‘

Game 1 Cebu Match: The Queens are set for an Armageddon Tie Break Match on Saturday, 6PM against Cebu Machers Team. This will be the first Armageddon match of the Queens this Season so the games are truly gonna be an exciting one and a must-watch for all!

Game 2 Zamboanga Match: Due to some chess.com server down, the Queens will still have to play their Rapid match against Zamboanga Sultans. Blitz Results so far is 4-3 in favor of Zamboanga.

Keep the fire burning, Queens! πŸ”₯πŸ‘‘
