OFFICIAL ANNOUNCEMENT

PPC MAD BARRACUDAS FAMILY SWIM

A CLARIFICATION. A CLOSING CHAPTER. A NEW BEGINNING.

With gratitude and respect, we announce that of the MAD Barracudas Family Swim Team (MBFST)/PPC Mad Barracudas (PPCMB) is NO LONGER under the COACHING of Coach Abel Aboratigue, as this transition now paves the way for him to return fully to his original team, the Puerto Princesa Stingers or should its members decide otherwise, establish a new name and identity that represents new chapter to continue its journey under its original leadership and identity.

TO BE CLEAR FROM THE VERY BEGINNING
It was clear and understood from the very beginning that MAD BARRACUDAS FAMILY SWIM TEAM was only entrusted as merely a CARETAKER of the team.

WE TOOK THE NAME — NOT THE TEAM.

MAD BARRACUDAS NEVER CLAIMED OWNERSHIP of Coach Abel's original team. We never intended to replace what he had built, nor to take away the identity, history, or foundation of the Puerto Princesa Stingers.
Our role was to CARE FOR , SUPPORT and PROVIDE STABILITY to the team during the period entrusted to us.
And now, as that chapter comes to its NATURAL CONCLUSION , we are taking a RESPECTFUL STEP OUT respectful and MAKING WAY for Coach Abel to revive his original team.

COACH ABEL’S TEAM REMAINS INTACT.

Coach Abel has BUILT a GREAT TEAM , and HIS TEAM REMAINS FULLY INTACT as we step out.

The swimmers, relationships, history, and foundation that he built remain his team's. We are simply stepping aside and allowing the Puerto Princesa Stingers , or should its members decide otherwise, establish a new name and identity to continue its journey under its original leadership and identity.

For the past three years, MAD BARRACUDAS was honored to carry the name and accept the responsibility entrusted to us.
From the very beginning, we made a commitment to provide stability, support, guidance, and a strong team environment for the swimmers and families.
We sincerely hope that throughout those three years, we were able to fulfill the commitment we made from the day MAD BARRACUDAS took over.

We hope we were able to provide the stability that was needed.
We hope we were able to give the support we promised.
We hope we were able to serve the swimmers and families with sincerity.
And we hope that, in our own way, we were able to make a meaningful difference.
For us, being a caretaker was never simply about carrying a name.
It was about accepting a responsibility and doing our best to honor the trust given to us.
Today, we close that chapter with GRATITUDE RESPECT and NO REGRETS.

SO, WHAT HAPPENS TO PPC MAD BARRACUDAS?

PPC MAD BARRACUDAS is NOT ENDING.
As Coach Abel returns to the Puerto Princesa Stingers, or should its members decide otherwise, establish a new name and identity to continue its journey under its original leadership and identity, Mad Barracudas will continue its own journey as an independent team, moving forward under its own identity, direction, and purpose.

The END of our CARETAKER role DOES NOT MEAN the END of PPC MAD BARRACUDAS . Rather, it MARKS the BEGINNING of A NEW CHAPTER for us. We will CONTINUE to BUILD, SUPPORT, and GROW PPC MAD BARRACUDAS while carrying forward the values and lessons we have gained over the past three years.

The name PPC MAD BARRACUDAS will CONTINUE.
The COMMITMENT to our SWIMMERS will CONTINUE.
The SUPPORT for OUR FAMILIES will CONTINUE.
And OUR JOURNEY CONTINUES.

To Coach Abel, thank you for trusting MAD BARRACUDAS FAMILY SWIM TEAM ( as PPC Mad Barracudas ) for these three years.
Thank you for entrusting us with the responsibility.
Thank you for allowing us to carry the name.
And thank you for giving us the opportunity to support the swimmers and families during this chapter.

As we step out, Coach Abel and the Puerto Princesa Stingers, or should its members decide otherwise, establish a new name and identity to continue its journey under its original leadership and identity and move forward with THEIR TEAM FULLY INTACT, while PPC MAD BARRACUDAS continues forward on its OWN JOURNEY.

We take with us three years of experiences, lessons, friendships, challenges, achievements, and memories that will always be part of our story.

To every swimmer, parent, coach, and family who became part of PPC MAD BARRACUDAS during these three years:

THANK YOU.
Thank you for your trust.
Thank you for your support.
Thank you for allowing us to serve.
And thank you for allowing us to be part of your journey.

WE were CARETAKERS—NOT OWNERS .
We CARRIED the NAME —NOT THE TEAM.
We fulfilled the responsibility entrusted to us.
And now, we respectfully take a step out.

Three years.
ONE COMMITMENT.
MANY MEMORIES .
The CHAPTER may be CLOSING, but WE LEAVE with GRATITUDE and RESPECT.

And for MAD BARRACUDAS FAMILY SWIM TEAM—
WE were CARETAKERS , NOT OWNERS.
We CARRIED the NAME , NOT THE TEAM.
Again, Coach Abel's TEAM REMAINS FULLY INTACT, as we STEP OUT.

PPC MAD BARRACUDAS REMAINS — and CONTINUES FORWARD.

THIS IS NOT GOODBYE.
THIS IS A NEW BEGINNING.

With GRATITUDE . With RESPCT. And with SINCERE WISHES for the CONTINUED SUCCESS of the Puerto Princesa Stingers, (or should its members decide otherwise, establish a new name and identity to continue its journey under its original leadership and identity) and EVERYONE WHO HAS BEEN PART OF THIS JOURNEY.

COMMITMENT TO THE PUERTO PRINCESA CITY SWIMMING ASSOCIATION

MAD Barracudas Family Swim Team, as a proud member of the swimming community in Puerto Princesa City, hereby pledges to respect, follow, and uphold all rules, regulations, policies, and decisions of the Puerto Princesa City Swimming Association (PPCSA).

We recognize the Association’s vital role in promoting, developing, organizing, and strengthening the sport of swimming in Puerto Princesa City. Accordingly, we commit to serving as a responsible, cooperative, and respectful member of the swimming community.

OUR COMMITMENT

WE WILL ABIDE.
We will follow the rules, regulations, policies, and decisions established by the Puerto Princesa City Swimming Association and recognize its authority and governance.

WE WILL SUPPORT.
We will support the Association’s goals, programs, activities, and initiatives that advance the growth and development of swimming in Puerto Princesa City.

WE WILL COOPERATE.
We will work constructively with the Association, fellow teams, coaches, athletes, and parents in the spirit of unity, collaboration, and sportsmanship.

WE WILL RESPECT.
We will treat the Association, its officers, officials, coaches, athletes, parents, and all members of the swimming community with dignity, fairness, and respect.

WE WILL CONTRIBUTE.
We will fulfill our responsibility to strengthen the swimming community by developing competitive swimmers and cultivating athletes who demonstrate discipline, integrity, humility, respect, and good character.

WE WILL UPHOLD UNITY OVER DIVISION.
We will promote cooperation among teams and reject conduct that creates unnecessary division. We will ensure that healthy competition never compromises respect, decency, fairness, or sportsmanship.

OUR PROMISE

MAD Barracudas Family Swim Team pledges to conduct itself with integrity, humility, professionalism, accountability, and respect, both inside and outside the pool.

We will act responsibly, comply with applicable standards, and contribute positively to the swimming community. We will support initiatives that advance the welfare of athletes and strengthen the sport as a whole.

Our priority will always be the swimmers.
We will place their development, welfare, character, safety, and future at the center of every decision and action.

We respectfully recognize the Puerto Princesa City Swimming Association as the governing body of the swimming community in Puerto Princesa City. We therefore commit to abiding by its rules, supporting its goals, cooperating with its programs, respecting its authority, and upholding its standards.

As a team, we accept responsibility for our conduct and for the conduct of our representatives, coaches, athletes, parents, and members when participating in swimming-related activities. We will address concerns responsibly, resolve differences respectfully, and remain accountable to the standards of the Association and the values of the sport.
