Another board passer from the team🍾

Huge congratulations go to Wil Ang, RCh, for passing the Chemists Licensure Examination. The team's male-best-in-physical player just showed that he could triumph over cerebral pursuits as if they're just any other physical drills he conquered. What makes it more commendable is that Wil had been continuously training with us throughout the course of his licensure exam preparations! 🔥 What a super! 🦸‍♂️

Your RABTC family is so proud of you, Wil! ❤💛💙

📣 It’s official❣️

Congratulations to our junior scholar, Jillianne Mateo, for making it to the official roster of The San Sebastian College-Recoletos Badminton Team! To become part of a team under UAAP/NCAA has been a dream of many young athletes and your unwavering determination and hard work paved your way to achieve it! Your RABTC family couldn’t be prouder! ❤️💛💙

But remember, this is not where your journey ends but rather just a beginning of a new path full of new challenges, opportunities, and experiences. Don’t ever lose your grit! We will be with you in every step and help you achieve further in badminton and in life 🔥

You are an inspiration to your juniors, being the first player from our camp to show that this dream is indeed achievable, and to your coaches as well, reminding them that their efforts indeed pay off, and inspiring them to just keep going and push further.

Congratulations to one of our team's senior scholars and balls of sunshine, Ms. Eri San Diego, for passing the BLEPP Psychometrician Licensure Examination held last month! Your RABTC family is so proud of you! ❤💛💙

We've witnessed your sacrifices and your grit and now, you bear the fruit of your hard work. Missed trainings no more, yay! Time to get back to grind, test development, and evaluate results in badminton 🔥 But isn't it what a psychometrician is good at? Piece of cake! 🍰

Last March, our team tradition of birthday burpees for our trainees was turned the other way around when Coach Royce had his birthday wherein all of our players performed one burpee for every year of Coach Royce’s existence. But the challenge wasn’t over yet because they only had it done once but remember, RABTC HAS 2 COACHES ‼️ And yesterday, it was Coach JM’s turn to make all of ‘em jump, drop into a squat, drop to the floor, get back to a squat position, and jump again 31 times!! This is a symbolic tradition for our coaches to show that their commitment to transform their players will not wither but would rather continue to grow more as they get older. 🔥🏸❤️‍🔥

Once again, happy birthday to the coach with more ‘kulet’ but at the same time, a strong advocate of proper mindset, Coach JM! 🫰

P.S. Prepare for next March again, players! Maybe then, it will not be just burpees 😬👀

A moment of appreciation to this group of trainees!

Last Monday, this group concluded their private training session under our camp. They've all undergone our Basics Program I: Forecourt and Midcourt Coverage -- mastering the basics, fortifying their foundation backed up by theory, unlearning habits, and correcting their footwork and strokes. In this course, they were taught about the different movement cycles and hitting techniques involved in the forecourt and midcourt areas. Now that they are equipped with the knowledge to dominate their forecourt and midcourt plays, they're now ready to take on a much challenging component of the sport, the rearcourt play! Pretty sure they'll smash the next phase too, the Basics Program II: Rearcourt Coverage, to the ground 💪

Net shot, low serve, high serve, net lift, drive--do you know about all of these strokes? Are you unsure if you are doing them right? Do you usually commit unforced errors when doing these and give easy points to your opponents? There may be some things to address in your technique.

Do you know that in technical terms, there is no such thing as 'forehand grip' and 'backhand grip'? But there are what we call 'V-grip/Basic grip' and 'Thumb grip'. Have you heard of these two? Not to mention that these are just 2 out of the 4 different grips in badminton as published by the BWF — Badminton World Federation. Wondering when and in what situation should you use them?

Chassé, pivot, split-step, hop, lunge, running step, cross-behind, scissor kick, base position, approach, recovery--can you spot and identify all of these while watching a player move on court? Wondering why you're having a hard time picking up your opponents' shots? There may be some visiting needed in your movement cycle.

If you wanna be more aware of your game and learn more about badminton in a structured fashion, hit us up and let's start your development journey right off the bat!
