Famas BJJ

While Coach and .a_bjj are out to compete in last weekend's AFG Open International in Bangkok, Coach .in.potion led our weekend competition class. We got less than a few days before Pan Asians, and we are looking to see our athletes bring their A game on fight day.

Competition Classes are held every Sunday, 1:00PM, at FAMAS GYM.

Our medal haul secures Team Fabricio 2nd Place overall, with Coach being awarded 2nd Best Cornerman of the event.

Thank you Professor for the opportunity to represent and for the continuous support, to all our coaches and teammates at .gym who helped prepare these young guns for this inaugural kids' event in Manila, and to all of our loving and supportive parents in the team for their labor of love not just for their kids, but for every single teammate.

Congratulations to Kyra and Darmine on their respective wins in the Singapore Grappling Open x Jagsport Invitation Championship & Philippine Ultimate Judo Championship Kids International Open!

Much respect as well to DJ for his efforts fighting bigger, older opponents in his division.

There were no easy matches this weekend, and our young athletes stepped up to the challenge and poured their hearts out on the mats.

We are all proud of you!

Jiu-Jitsu's roots is Judo-- as such, the team does not neglect its roots.

We've had several matches in last weekend's Marianas Pro Manila where our standup skills were showcased. Mad respect to .mit for putting it all out on the mats, leading to his Silver Medal Finish.

This was our team's first dip in ASJJF competition, and we are taking home 🥇🥈🥈🥈🥉

Coach makes a successful return to the competition scene with dominant wins to earn 🥇-- finishing his semis match with a sub, finishing the finals match with a clean drop seoi-nage.

mitchell steps up to face a decorated competitor and earns a 🥈 to cap off Day 1.

Ico Florano earns his first points in competition and secures 🥉 after a valiant effort in the semifinals.

mit plateau ends today with a dominant semifinals win and showed aggression in the finals. He finishes with a 🥈

DJ Mitchell put out an effort both in winning the scales and attempting to fight off a flurry of attacks from feet to floor in the finals. He takes home 🥈 to cap off the team's stint.
