It's time to talk bamboo! Burgos Sustainable Bamboo Propagation and Harvesting Workshop held on August 30-31 at Burgos Agroforestry and Nature Reserve in Burgos, Pangasinan.

This project is part of the provincial Bamboo Sustainability Roadmap initiated by the founder of Burgos Agroforestry Nature Reserve in partnership with Philippine Bamboo Foundation, Inc., Philippine Bamboo Industry Development Council, DTI Region 1 and Burgos, Pangasinan LGU.

The main objective of this seminar is to educate the partners and trainees about the potentials of bamboo in the rehabilitation and revegetation of mined-out and degraded lands, development of sustainable bamboo-based industry, and poverty alleviation.

The training aims to transfer the latest bamboo technologies to the local communities, equip them with required knowledge and skills to efficiently implement the production of planting materials, development and management of plantation and utilisation of bamboo for economic activities.

Our gratitude to the key stakeholders in making this first step happen at Burgos, Pangasinan
