Grip U.P. Sport Climbing Association

Based in U.P. Diliman, Grip UP Sport Climbing Association (Grip UP) is the only university-based sport climbing organization in the Philippines.

Grip UP aims to promote thorough understanding and practice of sport climbing and related climbing sports, and their aspects, such as ethics, safety and training, within and outside UP Diliman. In spite of being a young organization, GRIP UP already organized several activities for the further promotion of sport climbing within and outside the university. History:

[Donation Drive for Montalban]

Due to the unforeseen devastation brought about by Typhoon Ulysses,
Grip U.P. Sport Climbing Association is organizing a donation drive for our fellow Filipinos, particularly those in Wawa in Montalban, Rizal.

We would be directing our efforts towards the Wawa community as they have been a part of our climbing lives when going outdoors.

A few days ago, we were blessed with great weather up on Monkey Wall in Wawa, Montalban as we showed the basics of lead climbing to some of our new members. Of course, we still encourage our members to take the official SEACF Lead Climbing Certification. It's just good to let them experience its outdoor application and Monkey Wall is just the best place for this with several long, beginner-friendly lines. @ Mt. Binacayan
