FLY THE FLAG WITH PRIDE! ๐Ÿ‡ต๐Ÿ‡ญ๐Ÿ‡ต๐Ÿ‡ญ๐Ÿ‡ต๐Ÿ‡ญ

Every element of the Philippine flag tells a story of the nationโ€™s history, ideals, and struggle for freedom. From the three stars representing Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao, to the golden sun and its eight rays honoring the first provinces that rose against colonial rule, the flag stands as a powerful symbol of Filipino identity, unity, and patriotism. The colors of the flag likewise reflect the values cherished by the Filipino people: peace, truth, justice, courage, liberty, equality, and fraternity.

As we commemorate National Flag Days and continue the celebration of the 128th Anniversary of the Proclamation of Philippine Independence, may we take pride in the meaning behind our national symbols and the sacrifices they represent.

The Flag Days kick off the celebration of the 128th Anniversary of the Proclamation of Philippine Independence, with the theme โ€œKalayaan, Kinabukasan, Kasaysayanโ€ (โ€œFreedom, Future, Historyโ€).

This initiative serves as an honor to the life and works of Manlilikha ng Bayan Amparo Balansi Mabanag and the resilient spirit of the Gaโ€™dang community. The event will be hosted at the Museo Kordilyera in Baguio City on May 12-13, 2026. Through this two-day engagement, participants will be immersed in the technical precision and cultural philosophy that define these living traditions, fostered by the shared vision of our cultural and academic institutions in safeguarding the Filipino soul.

Due to the specialized nature of the lecture-workshop, slots for the event are limited. A formal announcement regarding the registration process will be released tomorrow, May 3, 2026 on the official page of the NCCA.
