DeROZAN TO SACRAMENTO UNDERRATED GOOD MOVE
People have been talking about DeRozan signing with the Kings, some say good things and some say bad. In our eyes this is actually an underrated good move by the Kings.
DeRozan has been the topic for days before Sacramento signed him. There were talks that he might be dealt to the Heat and some other suitors. Hearing about the rumors that he might join the Heat made me feel excited, but it did not last long enough. DeRozan signed a 3 year deal for three years to play as a Sacramento King.
What does this bring to the team?
To start with, this team is young and led by the elite point guard De'Aaron Fox, together with Sabonis. This team’s nucleus is all but young and upcoming players. Keegan Murray is also one good player that they have and looks like he will likely to keep improving next season since Barnes already left the team. They also do have Malik Monk who is a microwave who can score in bunches quickly. Now, where do Demar come in? Demar is already a proven scorer in the NBA with a lot of experience. He is a veteran who can mentor the young players and be a voice in the locker room. But that is not what he is here for, Demar can still SCORE with the best of them. He has a polished mid-range and post scoring. He can also run the PnR with Sabonis. He can help the Kings lack of scoring specially when Monk is having a cold night and when the defense turns to Fox, DeRozan can take over in some scenarios when needed. Having him playing with Fox will give the opponents a long night on defense.
Overall this is a good pick up for the Kings. However, since they play in the tough Western Conference this will not be as easy as we may think. But still, Fox and DeRozan will be a backcourt tandem that will be fun to watch.

KLAY LOOKS HAPPY TO BE A MAVERICK
Klay Thompson has ended his tenure with the Golden State Warriors, played 13 seasons with 4 NBA championships. What a run he has had. As they say, “some good things never last,” and it seems true for him.
Klay is now a Dallas Maverick and will play alongside Kyrie and Luka. This is a huge boost and a good pick up offensively for the Mavericks. Klay has been a proven deadly shooter in the league for years. Can score without dribbling too. His role in this team will primarily be shooting threes. Luka and Kyrie will still be the main guys in offense but definitely Klay will open up the floor for these two Iso heavy players. Klay can also be the focal point in offense once either Luka or Kyrie sits, and can also lead the 2nd stringer when needed. He is still one of the best wing defenders in the NBA and the Mavs can take advantage of that too.
Klay seemed very happy with the Dallas signing. The question now is which version of Klay will show up? Because last year's version of Klay was not that good.
But for me this is a good fit for Klay. Luka and Kyrie will have an easier task of breaking down the defense.
How about you? Which version of Klay do you think will show up for Dallas? Let us know in the comment section!

Heat 2024 draft pick Kel’el Ware. 1st round, 15th overall. 7 feet. Is he the Center that the Heat has been looking for?
Heat might have drafted the best Center in the draft. Ware is very versatile for a 7 footer. His defensive potential is very impressive. He can move his feet quickly and can keep up with smaller players, even when he gets beat he makes up with his length. His 7’4 wingspan will be his most elite quality. He is also athletic for his size and is a natural on the defensive end. HUGE HANDS TOO.
Offensively he is decent. His shooting form looks good but can be improved and get better. He shoots 3’s too but this side needs more polishing. What I do like in his game is his post offense. There is a lot of upside. He can shoot turnaround jumpers, jumphook and face up jumpers. One more special thing about his game is he has good hands that can catch lobs even when the pass is off-course. He knows what to do with the ball and he is not tentative. He also knows how to read and react to the plays run by the offense, he has a high basketball IQ.
All of these potential will be put to test come the regular season. Right now, things are not clear if he will play alongside Bam right away or if he will be the backup for Bam. Obviously, he still needs to get stronger physically to compete with stronger forwards and centers. But right now it looks like the Heat has drafted a special player in Kel’el.
Imagine once he gets used to the grind of the NBA and imagine when his body gets bulked up and stronger, and imagine him and Bam playing together, 2 very versatile players defensively and offensively, I think it's going to be a very nice sight to see.
Future is bright for the Heat, and they are doing it ORGANICALLY. Heat Culture at its finest.

KEVIN LOVE. Good or Bad pick up for the Heat??? 🤔🤔
DOES TRADING for K.LOVE makes a Heat fan happy?
Kevin Love has been bought out by the Cavs and joins the 305! How does a Heat fan feel about this, Happy or not? As a fan, anytime you hear that your team is making a move to improve its roster is something that we look forward to, especially when it is someone of Love’s caliber. Love has been awarded as 2009 All-Rookie 2nd Team, 2011 Most Improved Player, 2011 Rebounding leader, and 2016 NBA champ. All of these accolades were slowly going to waste in Cleveland and that is why he requested a buyout and wants to play elsewhere. Seeing this signing by the Heat makes a fan excited and jump out of their seats, if you ask me. Might not be the biggest move by the Heat this season yet, but definitely this gives a fan like me to be happy and be excited about.
IS IT A GOOD OR BAD PICK UP?
Miami Heat has been known to be thin in the frontcourt all season long. Playing Bam at the center position who is just 6-foot-9, Martin who is closely at 6-foot-6 and is tasked to play the power forward position are all very thin and short compared to the Eastern rivals like Milwaukee and Philadelphia who have legit centers and forwards to man the frontcourt. Inserting Love in the helm gives a little boost for the Heat’s front court woes. Love is 6’8” and for a time was known to be a rebounding beast averaging 15.2 RPG in the 2010-2011 season. He can also drain 3’s especially the corner 3’s. Love’s arrival with the Heat gives them more options on offense. Love can play the PnR, Pick & pop, and give and go. This will be beneficial to Bam and Herro. Bam can have more room to operate inside and in the mid post and mid range because Love is going to be a threat waiting in the wing for a 3, or Love can give bone crushing picks for Herro to operate. Love brings a new dynamic to the team in offense. But what about in defense? Love has not been known for his defense, people even say he has slow feet and laterals and can easily get blown past by defenders, I think that there is some truth to that. Love can be good on defense on a given night (if he puts his mind into it) or he can be a liability, but it is yet to be seen. The Heat’s culture is based on defense and hardwork and playing for each other. If Love buys into the mentality, I would think it will work. Bam and Butler would still be the anchors on defense, and the rest will follow suit. Is Love a good pick up for the Heat? Definitely yes! Only time can tell how great this pick up will turn out to be. But I like this move and am very excited to see the new dynamic of the Heat offense!
WHICH KEVIN LOVE WILL SHOW UP?
There are versions of Kevin Love that we all have witnessed. There is the Wolves version, the Cavs champ version and the leftover Cavs version. Love has already aged, he is currently 34 years old this season. As a fan, in my mind, I am hoping to see Love bring back his thunder. I'd love to see him average at least 10 rebounds per game and maybe 4 to 5 3’s a night. It may sound absurd and it seems like I am already daydreaming but that’s what I expect him to be. With his current role for the Heat as a starter, I think this is possible. It seems like after being bought out by the Cavs where he was taken off the rotation, his time and role with the Heat will be a lot different. WIth that being said, I see a rejuvenated and a hungry Love. One who wants to prove that he still has it in him and that he can still contribute despite the circumstances he’s been through. Let’s also hope that he can be healthy to finish this season.
Let's go Heat!

What is the 2022-2023 season is going to look like for the MIAMI HEAT?
For the past few seasons, the Heat always find a way to contend. Regardless if they are being led by an All-Star caliber player or just plain roster guys. But it seems that DOUBT always accompany the Heat’s regular season. They’ve always been labeled as an outsider looking in, or a team that is NOT considered top 5 in the Eastern Conference.
Let’s take a deep dive to what is in store for the Miami Heat’s 2022-2023 season.
ROSTER
This Miami Heat team is still Jimmy Butler’s to lead. They will go as far as Butler go. The Heat would still rely on Butler as the leader and their Superstar. Lowry, on the other end, according to reports he have been really working out to be in tip top shape for the upcoming season. That’s a very welcome sight for the Heat. Lowry has been in and out of the rotation last season, specially in the playoffs where you can see he is not 100%. If Lowry can stay healthy for the long haul, it is going to be huge lift for the team. PJ Tucker is a huge loss for the Heat at the 4 positions. Here is where Caleb Martin comes into the picture. He is under-sized playing the 4, but it looks like the Heat really likes his dynamics regardless of the mismatch. It looks like they are building a small-ball starting 5. While Martin seems at a disadvantage to the traditional power forwards at the defensive end, he will be a mismatch in offense. He can completely outrun most of them. It is at the defensive rebounding end where the biggest challenge is going to be. Max Struss will be heavily relied upon as well. He will still bring the same energy he brings every night, offense and defensively. Duncan Robinson will also need to contribute, last season did not go very well for him, and the Heat would love to see a bounce back season from Robinson. We hope to see him shoot the lights out once again. Gabe Vincent will be Gabe Vincent, he will be the energy guy off the bench, he will provide the needed boost from the 2nd unit. Victor Oladipo, the former All-Star, is also hoping for a comeback season. We don’t know what kind of Dipo is going to show up, but the Heat can use a very healthy Oladipo as the season goes on. We would love to see him go back to All-Star form. Dedmon and Yurt will provide Bam the much-needed rest he needs, and could sometime play along side them. In my opinion, this roster is decent enough to compete. Most of the guys have been playing together for the past 3 years already, and that familiarity with each other could be an X-factor. And let us not forget the Heat Culture that comes with it, anything is achievable. This roster could get some twitching through mid-season trades. Those needs will be addressed while the season is going.
BAM and HERRO + JOVIC
At this point, it is inevitable that Bam and Herro will be carrying the torch for the franchise for the years to come. And also, the young Jovic could be the 3rd piece to the Heat’s young Big 3. Bam Adebayo calls himself “No Ceiling,” and it is for real. Bam spent his summer improving his game. On his previous interviews, it seems that he is sending a message to the Heat organization that he is ready to be unleashed in offense. He wants a heavier role in offense. Let us also realize that Bam is being used most of the time as ball screener / PnR as his primary role. Those bone crushing picks gives the shooters like Struss and Robinson and Herro the open look. Bam has been very efficient playing this role and he even plays Point Center on some possessions. Now he seems ready to play that primary role in offense. Getting Bam the ball and making him a threat in offense gives the Heat’s offense more dynamic. Oh, by the way, Bam served a warning that he will be shooting 3’s this season, I just hope that he won’t fall in love with the 3 too much. Bam has a decent touch specially in the mid-range area. He also has a lightning first step to get past any defender in the post. He really has “No Ceiling.”
Tyler Herro on the other end has been the talk of the trade in the past off season. You can see his name in the Durant and Mitchell sweepstakes. He hasn’t had his extension until the trades were off. Herro wants the starting SG role. But when Riley was asked about it, he told the media that Herro needs to prove himself and earn the spot. But it looks like Herro would end up as the starter this season for the Miami Heat, after signing the huge extension, it looks like Herro will be a force to reckon with this season. He also wants to be included in the conversation of being a young superstar like Luka and Trey Young. Which is still to be seen. We wish to see improvement at the defensive end, this is Herro’s weakness, it is evident in the past season that teams target him every time. We hope to see an improvement on defense in Herro’s game. So that he can be relied upon, specially in the closing minutes of the game. Achieving this will not happen overnight, but let us stay hopeful that Herro can improve on D.
Nikola Jovic, the 19-year-old draft pick of the Heat has a huge upside. He has a very high IQ, and looks like he understands the game like he has been in the league for 5 years. I’m not sure if the Heat will allow Jovic to play regular minutes, but I am hoping for it. This dude needs experience to learn more and to develop more. The potential is very evident. If you ever seen this kid interviewed, he answers as if he is hungry to learn as fast as he could, his answers are very intelligent and realistic. Jovic has all the ingredients to be successful in this league. Pat Riley wouldn’t say that Jovic’s jersey will hang in the rafters someday if he didn’t see anything special in him. In Pat we trust.
HEAT will contend this season regardless of the roster. They will grind night in and nigh out. The Heat Culture is very much alive! Welcome to the 2022-2023 season! Let’s go Heat!

MIAMI HEAT UPDATE:
-PICKS
-FA RUMORS
-BEST FIT
It was a hard pill to swallow losing to the Boston Celtics in the Eastern Conference finals, but things really were not meant to happen. Injuries were part to put the blame, but reality is there are some few things needed to be addressed.
While signing Kyle Lowry last season brought optimism, I was kind of skeptic. Yes, we can argue that he was the best available free agent that time and that he wanted to play for the franchise but I thought that he was already a bit old. And I was really hoping that we can get him playing 100% specially during the playoff run, but it didn’t go very well. He got injured in a time where we needed him most. He could have been the next scoring option after Butler. But he gave his heart and his all and we thank him for that.
Now that the FREE AGENT season is looming, let us dive into what in our opinion does the Miami Heat need to improve on this season.
Let us start with the DRAFT PICK. The Heat has been known to pick late in the draft. They believe in uncovering some diamonds in the rough and develop them with their basketball program. As we all know this organization is well known for the mantra “HEAT CULTURE.” The Heat has the 27th pick in the draft, and they chose NIKOLA JOVIC. Hey don’t get confused, its not who you think it is, its not the MVP from Denver, but this dude could just be the NEXT BIG THING. Why do I say that? Here is why.
Jovic is 6 foot 11 from Serbia, same country where Jokic the MVP is from. Jovic has the skillset of a guard in a 6-foot 11 frame. The most noticeable asset of him is his shooting touch and form. He has unlimited range. His ball handling skills are very unlikely for his frame, he has handles like a guard and the upside is he still can improve and add more to it. He understands the game naturally, it is inept in his game as evidenced from his mix tapes that he knows how to read the situation. He is not your typical corner 3 spot up foreign player from Europe. Just imagine him playing pick and roll with Bam Adebayo? This will also help Bam find easy shots in the lane. This kid’s potential is really something. Not to mention he just turned 19. We’d like to see how the Heat Culture develop him and we are excited to see how he can become the prospect that we imagine him to be. Some compare him to Gallinari, or Bogdanovic of ATL, but I beg to disagree. Jovic is one-of-a-kind talent and I think that his ceiling is yet to be determined. I see him to be a potential all star and could spend most of his playing years wearing a Heat uniform. It is already in the hands of Coach Spo how Jovic potential can be utilized. In Jovic arrival I think Duncan Robinson could become expendable. Imagine if Jovic takes his place, 6’11 who can shoot, who can run through screens, who can play Pick and roll (not only the roller), and can facilitate. If there is a downside to Jovic’s game, in my opinion it is his strength (or lack thereof). He is skinny and could be targeted in defense, but to my point his 6’11” frame just might compensate for the meantime. With the physicality of the NBA game, I would think Jovic will require time to adjust, but definitely he will find his groove and I know that he understands how he can use his length to cope up. Only time can tell if he is the UNICORN we’ve been hoping for.
There are a lot of rumors surrounding who the Heat will target when the free agency starts. The likes of KD, Kyrie, or Beal. But who would really fit the culture? If you would rank them, definitely its KD whose going to be the 1st pick, then Kyrie, then Beal. Why? KD is a no brainer, obviously he is the real deal and he will instantly make the Heat the favorite in the east. But to land KD, it is close to impossible because some other team might just put Bam in the equation and I don’t think the Heat will make Bam available in any deal. He is just too important for the squad. What about Kyrie? I’d be lying if I tell you I don’t like it. I like Kyrie’s skillset, one thing that I think can help the Heat next season. While he has a lot of baggage, a culture like Miami could just be the answer to Kyrie Irving. You can say that he has a lot of issues, but I do think if someone like Pat Riley goes at his head all the time, I do think that somehow this can translate to a nice relationship and could potentially wake the fire inside Kyrie. Brad Beal on the other hand could be the last on the list but definitely another player who can contribute big time if he joins Miami. The only question is if the Heat could afford the cap space for him. Or if the Heat are really interested in pursuing Beal.
Miami could go all in in the free agency or do nothing and bank on the same roster with a few upgrades. That’s just how the do it. The Heat Culture will always prevail. That is develop players inside the organization. But who knows what Pat Riley I thinking? He might just land KD before we all know it, and that I WOULD NOT MIND, but please never ever give Bam in any deal.

Tyler Herro is the 6MOTY. 👌
