Dust. Wind. And something older than the land itself.

THE TREK — a western-horror set in the 1800s, where a family’s journey across the Kalahari becomes a fight for survival.

Fresh off its World Premiere, the film won the Jury’s Special Award at Fantasporto and was featured in Variety. It also screened as the Closing Night Gala at the Joburg Film Festival.

And yes, Narra is once again extending its roots on the international stage showcasing our capabilities on sound design, foley, and mixing all done remotely from the Philippines to South Africa.

Last February 21, Mike Idioma and Nic Rosacay were awarded PAFTA’s Best Sound for Balota, directed by Kip Oebanda. Being recognized in the award’s first year is something we’ll never forget.

Yesterday, Blackmagic held the URSA Cine Immersive Tour at Narra, introducing the world’s first commercial digital film camera that features a custom fixed lens system and dual 8K sensors to record high-resolution, stereoscopic 3D content in a 180-degree field of view. The Apple Vision Pro was used during the event to demonstrate the immersive viewing experience.

Job Description :
A Junior Sound Editor is an entry level position into our studio’s Sound Department. Tasks range from creating sound effects through performing and recording foley, editing effects by laying in pre recorded/ produced sound effects and understanding and setting up sessions and workflows for Audio Post Production for Film and Television

Requirements:
1. Undergraduate Degree
2. Experience is a plus but not needed
3. Basic proficiency in a DAW (Pro Tools Preferred)
4. Basic Understanding of Audio Post Production
