Hi! My name is Miguel. Before I started karate, I had slight tics. My mom noticed that I was always using gadgets, so she looked for a sport that could help me move more, focus better, and feel happier. That’s when she introduced me to karate.

When I started training, little by little, I began to change. My tics slowly became less. Sometimes they still appear, especially when I feel very happy or when I get nervous, but they are not the same as before. What’s important is that I found something I truly love.

Karate makes me happy. It helps me become strong—not just in my body, but also in my mind and heart. My dream is to someday represent our country in international competitions. If God allows it, that would be a very big blessing for me.

Thank you to the AUK founder, Sensei Rhodee Saavedra, to my instructor Sensei Geovani Ogoc, and to his daughters Senpai Trisha Jean Ogoc and Senpai Trexie Joy Ogoc. Thank you for teaching me, guiding me, and being very patient with me. I am proud and thankful to be part of this karate family. 💛🥋

Thank you also to Kokoro Sport, for this profile. I love my Kokoro Gi because it makes me feel confident and proud when I wear it. It is comfortable and strong, and it reminds me to always train with my heart (kokoro). When I wear my Kokoro Gi, I feel like a real karateka and I am ready to do my best.
