Welcome to a completely normal day in my life during ballet teachers’ most unhinged season. 🫠🩰

For everyone who keeps asking me what my days actually look like, this is genuinely a normal one. Classes, one-on-ones, variations, choreography, studio work, emails, workout, dinner at an unreasonable hour… and repeat. 😂

And if this is the normal day, I guess you’ll have to imagine what the actually busy days look like. :))

Come spend the day with me. ♡

From Manila, to New York, and now to Stuttgart. 🩰🇵🇭🗽🇩🇪

So proud of our Jala for continuing to step outside her comfort zone and discover just how big the world of dance can be. ♡

This summer, Jala trained at the John Cranko Summer Intensive 2026 in New York, learning from their wonderful teachers. And from one experience came another opportunity. ✨ Upon completing the intensive, Jala received an invitation to the John Cranko School November Workshop in Stuttgart, Germany.

A very special thank you to YGP Philippines YGP Philippines and Youth Grand Prix Youth America Grand Prix for creating opportunities that allow young dancers like Jala to be seen, learn, and continue opening doors beyond the competition stage. We are incredibly grateful to be part of a community that connects our dancers to teachers and schools around the world. 🤍

Every opportunity is another chance to learn, grow, and discover the dancer you can become.

Keep going, Jala. There is still so much ahead. ♡

From Manila → New York → Stuttgart. ✈️🩰

Much Love, Teacher Lina and your SDBL Family

Congratulations again to our Silay. ♡ Silay Aquino

Sending her off to all her new adventures and acceptances with such a full heart. 🩰

A little then & now — 2018 vs. 2026.

From one of our very first students, through a pandemic, years of training, growing pains, changes and so many uncertainties… to the young dancer she is today.

You will grow beyond the studio now, and that is exactly what we hope for our students. 🤍

Keep learning. Keep dancing. Keep growing, Silay. We’ll always be cheering you on. ♡ thank you Asian Grand Prix IBC for all the memories and opportunities for the girls!
