It's been a while since the last time I joined a budol ride. I tried my hardest to veer away from such to lessen my exposure and to protect other people from what I may have.

So, I started gaining weight some more, (not an excused) am slowly losing my confidence and somehow losing all the skills I learned from years of riding the trails.

But yesterday, was like a revival of my never-ending love for muddy trails that gone cold for a while.

My love-hate affair with uphills was awoken too. Long paved ascent where I had to count 1-2 1-2, brought back some good old memories and forced me once again to think of happy thoughts and sang my favorite song of course only in my mind.

The joy of being outdoor, having fun with friends, feeling the wind, hearing the birds chirping, splashing some muddy water as I was pedaling across, getting dirty plus the relief of being able to breathe in some fresh air without the fear of being infected was beyond compare and it was indeed a good escape from all the crazy that this year has slapped us with...

So, I'd say be cautious but also take time to be outdoor once in a while and try to co-exist with this virus, or else you'll lose so many opportunities to enjoy as I did worrying about something we are not in control of.
