There is a side to the sports world that many people are not aware of. It is one thing to play and declare that you are Christian. It is another thing to stand by your convictions to a league that totally contradicts on what you believe in. In a world of compromise true Christianity speaks and takes the side in the Truth even when the consequence hurts.

Everybody lines upโฆ just not for the right things.
Packed gyms for games.
Cameras for exposure.
But when itโs time to actually develop, lift, and learnโฆ the lines disappear.
The difference isnโt talent.
Itโs priorities.
The lines donโt lie.

Zach LaVine, star of the Chicago Bulls, has become one of the NBA's most visible Christian athletes because he openly points to his faith in Jesus in interviews and after games. He often says that his confidence, perspective, and gratitude come from his relationship with God, not just his performance on the court.
After a postgame interview aired on NBCโs 'Sunday Night Basketball,' a social media clip posted by NBC left out LaVineโs mention of Jesus. LaVine later addressed the situation by saying, "I just really want to show love and show people what I stand for. I pray for everybody, and I donโt really have any feeling toward it. I just pray for everyone."
LaVine has made it clear that honoring God isn't about guaranteeing wins or losses, but recognizing that God is worthy of praise no matter the outcome.

This is my 13th year being a basketball trainer and a coach. A passion that started with my children when they began to play the game that I love. God is using these platform to intentionally connect with the next generation and share the gospel. From the courts of Pacita 1 Elementary School, Pacita National High School and San Francisco de Sales School, the mission continues.

"No'ng MBA days ko, may nag-reach-out sa team namin. Na-amaze ako sa explanation nila na si God namatay dahil sa atin, sa pagmamahal Niya sa atin. E, it's easy to sin. 'Tapos, sometimes pag may temptation, hindi ko siya nare-resist. 'Tapos, sa court masyado akong mainit ang ulo. No'ng naging Kristiyano ako, nag-iba lahat. Nagkaroon ng direksiyon ang life ko."
"Nagpapasalamat nga ako dahil bini-bless Niya ako. At the same time, ginagamit Niya ako to bless other people also." โ Rommel Adducul
