Clear 1st win remains elusive for the SDC men at the Daang Reyna Tune-Up Race organized by Jun Quintia held today, January 26, 2024.

Fielded with almost 40 of the strongest riders from different teams, SDC riders Staples, Flores, Hinon, Navarro, Macasieb, Ocampo, and Ardeza were just inches away for the coveted champion’s title in the arguably most famous Criterium Race venue here in the south.

Armed with their race playbook, Flores joined the breakaway pack of 3 riders and raced on till the finish while his team mates held their own in the chase group. Not yet too late for a podium standing, Staples and Hinon tested their METTLE in an exhilarating bunch sprint finish with Staples taking 4th overall. In the chaos of the moment, Hinon on the other hand, with a twist worthy of a soap opera took 5th. The race then concluded in a respectable podium places for our valiant riders.
