: Minor Sea-Level Disturbance Alert
PHIVOLCS has issued a tsunami advisory today, July 30, warning of a minor sea-level disturbance following a Magnitude 8.7 earthquake in Kamchatka, Russia.

Coastal areas in the Davao Region that may be affected include:
– Davao del Norte
– Davao Oriental
– Davao Occidental
– Davao del Sur
– Davao de Oro

According to PHIVOLCS, initial tsunami waves may arrive between 1:20 PM and 2:40 PM, and may be followed by more waves lasting for several hours.
