UNITY IN DIVERSITY Karate Pilipinas Sports Federation, Inc. KPI was formed in early 2018, and subsequently recognized by the World Karate Federation.

(Karate Pilipinas Incorporated) is the local governing body for the sport of Karate in the Philippines. Within the Organization of the Karate Pilipinas Inc. (KPI) is the Bikol Karate Federation (BKF) as the Official Local Karate Group for Bicol Region (Region 5). And in the Organization of the KPI BKF, Karate Clubs from different parts of Bicol Region, of which Sorsogon Province is part, were inv

ited. The SAPYM -a duly recognized Karate Club from the Shorin Ryu Shidokan Style and a Philippine Union of Karate and Kobudo Origanization (PUKKO) was given the privilege to represent Sorsogon Province in the Bicol Karate Federation under the Karate Pilipinas Inc. In an effort to unify all the Karate Clubs of Sorsogon, the KPI5 Sorsogon under the BKF was formed by the KPI Representatives Mark Alvin L. Lusuegro as the Provincial KPI Coordinator and Jaz Winder Renoria as the KPI City Coordinator. And Part of the effort to unify all the Karate Clubs, is also the effort to recognize the presence of other Martial Arts Clubs in the Province not only the Karate Style but other styles such as Taekwondo, Arnis, Solefighting and others. And so with this, there is a move to organize alongside the organization of KPI5 Sorsogon, the Black Belts Association of Sorsogon which will pave the way for smooth sharing of styles and friendship among all the Black Belts of Sorsogon. VISION
Building empowered and Harmonious Karate Clubs within the Province and City of Sorsogon along with all the Inter-Styles Martial Arts as represented by their Black Belts- forming the Black Belts Association of Sorsogon. MISSION
Work towards the promotion, development and strengthening of Karate Clubs and Other Styles for them to fully learn, enjoy and propagate their Skills for a better and fuller human development. BASIC PRINCIPLES

Guided by Human Ideals of Love for Family, Country and Self and the Tenets of Karate in particular and Martial Arts in General and the liberating principles found in the Universal Declaration of Human Rights and the Philippine Constitution of 1987:

We believe that:
The person is free, responsible and endowed with inherent dignity;
There is fundamental equality and complementarities of the sexes;
The person is both graced and sinful and ultimately responsible to God;
The dignity of persons is inviolable and is not dependent on race, age, religious affiliation, political affirmations, ideological persuasion or socio-economic standing;
The person is the steward of creation and a social being fulfilling her/ himself through responsible cooperation and dialogue with others.;
The person has the right to express, develop and train oneself for fuller human development. The person has the right defend oneself from any aggression that endangers one’s life, Family and Country. We affirm that:

The State’s only reason for being is the promotion of the good of society;
The Person has the Right to Form and Join Association that will help him/her in achieving his/her goals. We rely on:

camaraderie as requisite for good life, through Martial Arts Training: like Arnis and Karate and others. SERVICE: To promote Christian Values of Community, Love, Service and Peace among the Members.
