GOLDEN DOLPHIN RULES THE POOL!!!

Riley Maddaleign Alindogan of Bicol has been unstoppable at the 2026 Palarong Pambansa, racking up five gold medals in the elementary girls’ swimming division. The 12-year-old from St. Agnes Academy in Legazpi City dominated the 400m freestyle, 100m breaststroke, 200m freestyle, 200m individual medley, and anchored the 4x50m medley relay. Adding a silver in the 50m breaststroke, Alindogan’s stellar campaign has powered Bicol’s surge and earned her the nickname “Golden Dolphin of Bicol.”

CAÑALITA DEFENDS TITLE WITH NEW RECORD!!!

Jhul Ian Cañalita of Region VII once again proved his dominance in distance running, capturing gold in the Secondary Boys’ 3000m steeplechase at the 2026 Palarong Pambansa. The Boholano standout clocked an impressive 9:13, breaking his own meet record of 9:23.89 set last year in Ilocos Norte. With back-to-back golds and another record rewritten, Cañalita continues to cement his legacy as one of the premier young athletes in Philippine athletics.

DAVAO REGION STRIKES GOLD!!!

Lysjane Dacay Timbal of Ulip National High School delivered a golden performance in the 2000m Walkathon at the 2026 Palarong Pambansa. Her victory marked a historic moment for the Davao Region, showcasing perseverance, discipline, and heart from start to finish. Timbal’s triumph stands as an inspiration for young athletes across Monkayo, Davao de Oro, and beyond.

BUCOL LIFTS GOLD FOR ZAMBOANGA!!!

Adrian Bucol of Zamboanga Peninsula claimed the first weightlifting gold of the 2026 Palarong Pambansa, ruling the secondary boys’ 48kg class with a total lift of 183kg. The Talon-Talon National High School standout, hailing from Barangay Mampang in Zamboanga City, matched the proud tradition of his hometown by delivering a winning sn**ch of 83kg and a clean and jerk of 100kg. Bucol’s triumph brings honor to his region and inspires young athletes to chase excellence in the sport.

EALA FALLS IN FRENCH OPEN!!!

Alex Eala’s run at the French Open came to an end with a 4-6, 2-6 loss to American Iva Jovic. The Filipina briefly rallied in the first set, closing the gap to 5-4 after trailing 1-5, but Jovic regrouped and sealed the frame before cruising through the second. The match wrapped up in just over an hour, marking Eala’s exit from the tournament.

CARAGA CLAIMS FIRST GOLD!!!

Breanna Aaliyah Erno delivered Caraga’s breakthrough victory at the 2026 Palarong Pambansa, ruling the secondary girls’ 400m freestyle with a time of 4:38.38. The Surigaonon standout gave her region its first gold medal of the meet, adding to her legacy after also winning Caraga’s first swimming gold in last year’s elementary division. Erno’s back-to-back triumph cements her place as one of the brightest young talents in Philippine swimming.

VILLAPAÑA WINS HURDLES GOLD!!!

Charles James Villapaña of Region X captured the gold medal in the Secondary Boys’ 110m hurdles at the 2026 Palarong Pambansa in Agusan del Sur. The 18-year-old from Misamis Occidental clocked 13.51 seconds to edge out NCR’s Ivan Cabanda who finished close behind at 13.55 seconds. Villapaña admitted the victory came as a surprise, making the moment even more emotional, and credited his coaches, family, friends, and faith for guiding him to this triumph.

ANOTHER PALARO SWIMMING RECORD!!!

Riannah Chantelle Coleman of the National Academy of Sports stamped her dominance in the pool at the 2026 Palarong Pambansa in Agusan del Sur. The 16-year-old shattered her own mark in the secondary girls’ 100m breaststroke, clocking 1:12.99 to erase the 1:15.46 record she set last year in Ilocos Norte. Coleman’s back-to-back record-breaking performance highlights her rising stature and the bright future of Philippine swimming.

NEW PALARO RECORD

Calabarzon’s Loraine Audrey Batalla etched her name in history at the 2026 Palarong Pambansa after setting a new meet record in the secondary girls’ 400m dash. Clocking 56.12 seconds, the Laguna standout broke the previous mark of 56.28 seconds set by Jessel Lumapas in 2018. Batalla’s record-breaking run not only secured gold but also highlighted Calabarzon’s continued dominance on the track.

GOLD FOR NEGROS ISLAND REGION!!!

Christine Rose Toquero of Escalante City delivered a standout performance in the Girls’ Javelin Throw at the 2026 Palarong Pambansa in Agusan del Sur. The Grade 7 athlete secured gold with a winning mark of 45.22 meters, earning her second straight Palaro title after topping the event in 2025. At just 13 years old, Toquero has already proven herself as one of the brightest young talents in Philippine athletics.

EVRAA STRIKES FIRST GOLD!!!

Chrishia Mae Tajarros delivered the opening gold medal of the 2026 Palarong Pambansa after ruling the Girls’ 3000-meter run. The Eastern Visayas standout defended her crown in back-to-back fashion, repeating her feat from last year’s games. With her dominant performance, Tajarros set the tone for EVRAA and reaffirmed her place as one of the country’s rising track stars.
