Kouadio Kassi ( #30) is more than one of the greatest players ever to wear the blue of Manila Montet.

He is the all-time leading scorer in the history of the Montet Challenge Series with an incredible **38 goals in just three editions**, while also providing countless assists. A true icon of the club and one of the biggest fan favorites.

His personality is impossible to ignore.

Yes, he shouts. He pushes. He refuses to accept anything less than the best. Some people see that as being too demanding. Others see it as the mindset of a true winner.

One thing is undeniable: players who train and compete alongside him almost always become better footballers... and stronger people.

Coming from Ivory Coast, a nation where football is more than a sport—it's a passion passed from generation to generation—he has brought that same winning mentality to the Philippines.

But perhaps his greatest quality cannot be measured in goals.

It is his heart.

Kassi genuinely wants every Filipino child who loves football to improve, to believe in themselves, to become mentally stronger, and to learn lessons that go far beyond the game.

⚽❤️ THE BOY WHO WAS AFRAID OF HIS COACH

One of the children in our Manila Montet football academy once carried a fear that followed him for long.

When he was younger, he had a difficult experience with an African football coach who shouted at him during training.

He was so affected that he became nervous around any African coaches and players in general.

Then he joined Manila Montet.

Some of our coaches are Africans.

At first, the boy kept his distance.

But football has a special way of bringing people together.

Training after training, he discovered a coach who encouraged him, supported him, and believed in him.

Little by little, the fear disappeared.

Today, they laugh together, train together, and share the same passion for football.

That is the beauty of sport.

It introduces children to people from different cultures, backgrounds, and walks of life.

It teaches them that every person deserves to be judged by their character, not by their appearance.

At Manila Montet, we believe football does more than develop players.

It opens minds, builds friendships, and brings people together.

⚽ One ball. One team. One family.

On his very first football session, he cried.
He didn’t understand everything yet. The field felt too big. The voices felt loud. The game felt unfamiliar.
For a young child, even something beautiful like football can feel overwhelming at first.
But what happened next mattered more than the tears.
There was no pressure.
No shouting. No forcing. No judgment.
Only patience.
A coach gently approached him, spoke calmly, and gave him time. Time to breathe. Time to watch. Time to feel safe again.
And slowly… he stayed.
Then he tried again.
One small step at a time.
From standing still… to moving.
From watching… to joining.
From fear… to enjoyment.
Weeks later, that same child who once cried was smiling, running, and enjoying every moment on the pitch.
This is what development looks like.
Not every child starts confident. Some start with hesitation. Some start with fear. Some even start with tears.
And that is completely okay.
Because at Manila Montet Academy, we believe every child deserves the time to grow at their own pace.
Football is not just about winning games.
It is about building confidence, discipline, and joy in movement.
Before anything else… a child should learn to love the game.

Our academy is so proud of our professional players, who won the trophy last Sunday after an incredible unbeaten run throughout the entire competition. 🏆

At our academy, we always teach our kids that football is about having fun and enjoying the game above all else. But we also teach them the importance of giving their best every day to reach their full potential.

Losing is okay as long as you leave everything on the pitch. Effort matters more than the result.
The funny thing is that when you consistently give everything you have, you often end up winning. That's exactly what our pro players at Manila Montet did this season.
