Urban Football Challenge is finally over and we come out with 2 Championships! Omni SS 2A secured the Division 2 Plate Championship with a 9W-1L record and Omni SS 1B secured the Division 1 Plate Championship with an 8W-1D-1L record!

Special shout out to Omni SS 2B for also finishing 1st Runner-Up in the Division 2 Cup group! Great performance for a mostly female team!

Cup and Plate first day results are out for the Urban Football Challenge and the squad is heading to the final day on a high note!

Omni SS 2A and 2B are currently top of their groups while Omni SS 1B follows 2nd at their group. Omni SS 1A and 1C both have a challenging yet fun road ahead to get a podium finish!

Underprepared and undermanned but we still gave Manila Montet a great challenge with an even crazier scoreline of 9 - 9!

This match could decide who reaches the final and who will have the chance to lift the trophy.

Right now, Manila Montet remains undefeated after 5 matches. Only three teams are still in the race:

⚽ Adamson University

One of these three teams will become champions.

Here is why tomorrow’s match is so important:

➡️ If OMNI SS beats Manila Montet, they will qualify for the final. Their opponent will depend on the result of Adamson University vs Manila Montet:

* If Adamson also beats Manila Montet → OMNI SS vs Adamson University in the final
* Otherwise → OMNI SS vs Manila Montet in the final

➡️ If Manila Montet stays undefeated against OMNI SS, Adamson University will then need to defeat Manila Montet to force a final replay.

➡️ If Manila Montet remains undefeated against BOTH OMNI SS and Adamson University, then the Blues will be crowned champions directly.

After last season, failing to reach the final or failing to win the championship this year would be seen as a disappointment for Manila Montet, given the club’s expectations and the talent of this squad.
