There are moments in the mountains that make you stop, breathe, and simply admire what is in front of you.

This is Mount Latukan (2,280 MASL) as seen from Camp Salamat, one of the campsites on the way to the summit of Mt. Piapayungan. From above, its massive silhouette quietly dominates the landscape of Butig, Lanao del Surβ€”a reminder of how wild and beautiful Mindanao truly is.

Known for its iconic heart-shaped crater lake near the summit, Mt. Latukan remains one of the most remarkable mountains in the region. Seeing it from the drone was one of those moments that made every step of the expedition worth it.

Some mountains don't need to be climbed to leave an impression. Sometimes, all it takes is a different perspective to appreciate their beauty.
