Ras Fitness Odyssey 💪💪💪
life. And boy little did I know that I would be in a hell of a ride. But here we are, finally on my first mile stone in this journey. To most people, it’s just a number. A reading on a scale that takes a second to see and a second to forget. But to me, this number carries the weight of every sacrifice, every setback, every painful step, and every battle I fought when no one was watching. Twenty kilograms gone in five months but the truth is, I lost more than weight. I let go of excuses, self-doubt, and the version of myself that wanted to quit every time things got hard.
There were days when my body hurt, my motivation disappeared, and showing up felt impossible. Days when progress was too slow to notice and the finish line felt a million miles away. I questioned myself more times than I can count. I failed, restarted, stumbled, and kept moving anyway. Because sometimes strength isn’t about lifting heavier weights it’s about getting up one more time when every part of you wants to stay down.
This milestone doesn’t belong to me alone. To my father Apin Ferrer who’s always been there for me thru ups and downs with the sacrifices that you had to make for me I’m forever grateful! To my mother Estella Alaurin and Tito Rene Alaurin for accepting me and supporting me physically by sacrificing some things even if you don’t have to and putting up with my short comings while I’m still building a better version of myself I won’t forget it for the rest of my life! To my brother Doc Richard Ferrer for the silent encouragement and boost of confidence and by being you (Alam mo na un boi!). To everyone who encouraged me, believed in me, checked on me, shared advice, or simply reminded me to keep going thank you. Your support carried me through moments when my own belief wasn’t enough. I will always be grateful for every person who became part of this journey, no matter how small they think their role was. And that one person, you know who you are. For showing me the light, thank you!
Today, the scale says I’m below 200 kg. But what I see is so much more than a number. I see five months of consistency. Five months of pain, discipline, sacrifice, and growth. I see proof that change is possible, even when it feels impossible. And most importantly, I see a promise to myself that I kept. This isn’t the end of the journey it’s a reminder that the person I want to become is built one difficult day at a time.
Also thank you Gymboy - Fitness Gym for being my Mold
