Free agent wing Jonathan Kuminga agreed to a two-year, $12.4 million deal with the Minnesota Timberwolves, which includes a player option on the second season, his agent Aaron Turner told ESPN's Shams Charania.
Part of Minnesota's pitch is an expectation that Kuminga will fill the vacant starting power forward slot alongside Anthony Edwards, LaMelo Ball, Jaden McDaniels and Rudy Gobert on an established Western Conference contender.

Portland Trail Blazers guard Shaedon Sharpe sustained a torn meniscus in his right knee and is expected to miss six months, sources told ESPN's Shams Charania on Monday.
The injury occurred during an offseason workout recently and will sideline Sharpe for a significant period of the 2026-27 season, sources said.

The Golden State Warriors are signing free agent guard Brandon Williams to a one-year, $2.6 million minimum contract, agents Derek Lafayette and Curtis Lawrence told ESPN's Shams Charania on Tuesday.
Williams is the team's first outside acquisition in what has been an otherwise stable offseason, providing needed perimeter bench scoring and speed for a reserve unit that often lacked it last season

Nuggets signing 6-time All-Star DeMar DeRozan to 1-year deal
DeRozan landed on the Nuggets after speaking to the Miami Heat, Washington Wizards and New Orleans Pelicans during free agency, choosing a significant role in Denver and a chance to compete in the West. The Nuggets' front office and coaches made a strong recruitment effort in recent weeks to secure DeRozan's commitment, showing him how he would complement Nikola Jokic and Jamal Murray as an additional playmaker.
