Another step toward better officiating! 👏

Last October 4, Ma Teresa “Tetams” Villar, PPF Authorized Trainer and Level 1 Referee, together with Trained Referee Mara Jllana Dela Rosa, conducted a Basic Pickleball Referee Training members of Team J Sports Association x RATP - Valenzuela at Sta. Maria Paddlepoint.

It was great to see everyone engaged, asking questions, and eager to learn more about the rules and responsibilities of being a referee.

Thank you to Jerry Avendano for the opportunity and to all the participants for showing up ready to learn and grow.

We’re excited to see you take the next steps in your officiating journey. One referee at a time, we raise the standard. 💪

LET THE GAMES BEGIN! 🔥

RATP – Bicutan referees Jobille Avila and Jarrell Dizon were on the court for Day 1 of the PickleThru Octoberfest, held last October 2, 2026 at The Dink Loft, Marikina!

And this is just the beginning! 💪 The tournament runs throughout October, with games happening every Friday.

Also there to show their support were Referee Tetams and Referee Mara. ❤️

Two exciting days filled with competitive matches, camaraderie, and plenty of great pickleball action.

Professional Pickleball Regulatory Orientation Seminar | Davao City

Ma. Teresa “Tetams” Villar was honored to serve as one of the speakers, alongside Grace Grabka, Don Robert Bautista, and John Regison Talusan, during the Professional Pickleball Regulatory Orientation Seminar conducted for the Games and Amusements Board (GAB) Field Offices in Davao City on September 24–25, 2026.

This two-day seminar provided participants with a comprehensive look into the professional side of pickleball, covering Pickleball Basics, Game Mechanics, Rules, Scoring Systems, Officiating, Tournament Structures, Scheduling Systems, Technical Committees, and Professional League Structures.

One of the highlights of the event was the Live Gameplay Immersion, capped off with a mini-tournament, giving participants an opportunity to put their learning into practice and experience the game from a more hands-on perspective. 🏓

Tetams Villar is a PPF Certified Level 1 Referee, PPF Authorized Trainer, GAB Professional Tournament Referee, and GAB Professional Teaching Pro. She is also the Founder of RATP – Referees At The Post and the current Head Referee of PYCL.

A meaningful two days of learning, sharing, and strengthening the foundation of professional pickleball. 🇵🇭🏓

RATP – Referees At The Post was on duty for the C-PAK Manila Cup 2026 last September 19 at Dink Arena Ph, Las Piñas.

Despite the challenges, our team stayed professional, focused, and committed until the very last call.

To our RATP referees: thank you. ❤️
Your commitment, dedication, patience, and professionalism are truly appreciated. You showed up, stayed on, and did your job until the end. We couldn’t be prouder of the team.

For us, this experience is also a reminder of how important proper scheduling, breaks, and timely meals are in keeping officials energized and able to perform at their best throughout a long tournament.

We hope this serves as a learning experience for future events. At the end of the day, we’re all working toward the same goal: a well-run tournament where players, organizers, and officials are all taken care of.

To everyone who stayed with us until the last call—salute. 🫡

🎓🏓 Another step toward growing the next generation of pickleball referees!

The Philippine Pickleball Federation (PPF) Basic Referee Training was successfully held on September 14, 2026, at Dink District, Cugman, Tablon, Cagayan de Oro City, led by PPF Authorized Trainer Ma Teresa Villar, and assisted by Ref Mara Jllana Dela Rosa.

A huge thank you to Pickle Pals Club CDO and Gerann Bautista for having us and for supporting the development of pickleball officiating in CDO! 🙌

And to our future Level 1 Referees—congratulations! 🎉 This is just the beginning. Keep learning, keep officiating, and keep growing. We’re excited to see you on the courts!

You volleyed it legally.
The ball died.
You started walking away like the scene was OVER.

🚨 REFEREE: “Not so fast.”

That momentum from your volley can still land you a Kitchen/NVZ Violation — even if the ball is already dead. 👀

Because apparently in pickleball, the rally can be over but the consequences are still loading… 💀😂
