The University of Cagayan Valley (UCV) reinforces its commitment to community climate action through the Bamboo Planting VI initiative held in Barangay Buntun, Tuguegarao City on September 1, 2026. Organized by the RPDEO, this project aims to create a sustainable defense against recurring floods in the region.

UCV President Dr. Esther Susan N. Perez-Mari emphasized the importance of long-term environmental solutions during the activity, which brought together university leadership, educators, student leaders, and local volunteers in partnership with MENRO Cagayan.

Through continuous green efforts, UCV remains dedicated to building a safer, greener, and more resilient Cagayan Valley!

On this day, the 𝐁𝐏𝐄 𝐎𝐟𝐟𝐢𝐜𝐞𝐫𝐬, together with the 𝐒𝐋𝐀𝐓𝐄 𝐃𝐞𝐩𝐚𝐫𝐭𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭, came together to promote health and wellness among children through health profiling, including height and weight measurement. The activity also focused on discussing the importance of children’s health and proper physical development, while providing them with free snacks.

This activity reminds us that wellness begins with awareness. By understanding each child’s growth and physical development, we take a simple yet meaningful step toward building a healthier, stronger, and more active generation.
