Severe flooding doesn’t just happen. It’s the result of multiple factors, especially environmentally-destructive government policies. Super Typhoon Carina has shown us that natural disasters are becoming stronger, and it’s time to look at the real causes. 🌪️🌍

Yes, climate change is real, and yes, we all need to acknowledge it. But let’s also understand where it’s coming from—the collective abuse of nature. 🌍💧

Governments around the world approving ventures in mining, reclamation, and other destructive activities are a major part of the problem. 🏞️⛏️

Blaming public negligence and littering only scratches the surface. The problem is bigger and more complex. 🌳🌊

Let’s call for better policies that protect our natural resources and demand accountability from those in power. It’s time to take real action to prevent future disasters. 💚✊

Many members of our partner communities have been affected by the onslaught of Typhoon Carina and are in urgent need of support and assistance.

We are accepting donations in the form of the following priority items; canned goods, rice, bread, pails or buckets, over-the-counter medicine, vitamins, and alcohol.

You may drop-off your donations at the EcoWaste Coalition office at 78A Masigla St. Ext., Central, Diliman, Quezon City or you may also make arrangements via 09178369592, 09178364725, or [email protected].

The EcoWaste Coalition hopes for the safety and wellbeing of all and will be focusing our efforts on assisting with the relief and safety of our partner communities and stakeholders.

Giving back is one of the greatest joys in life. Now we ask you to help the victims of Typhoon Carina in Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao. Together, we can provide the support they desperately need during these challenging times. 🌿💚

🔙 Throwback to November 2020:
In November 2020, we helped the victims of Typhoons Rolly and Ulysses in Luzon and Visayas. We donated and sent 50 hygiene kits (shampoo bars and soaps) packed in Batik pouches to Akbayanihan. Each kit was enough for one family. 🧼🛍️
