To Jan, the man whose vision gave Mega Fitness Center its soul.
Mega was never just a gym. It became a place where people showed up tired, unsure, stressed, or starting over- and somehow left feeling stronger, lighter, and more hopeful.
That was the heart of your vision. You wanted Zamboangueños to have a fitness space that felt premium, but still welcoming. A place built with purpose, accessibility, and genuine care.
You shared your knowledge, your passion, and your voice not just to promote Mega, but to remind people that health is possible, strength is possible, and change is possible.
As Mega closes its doors, what you built will not disappear. The machines may stop, the lights may turn off, but the impact remains in every person who became stronger because Mega existed.
Thank you, Jan, for building something that mattered. Your legacy goes beyond the gym…it lives in the people you inspired to become strong and healthy.
Signing off…

Funny how I first met Coach Cheng…she was meant to meet her friend at the “other gym” 😁 I still remember telling her, “Ma’am, hindi po dito, it’s on the other side 😜.” A simple moment that somehow turned into something meaningful.
From that small mix-up came a genuine friendship. She’s just so easy to talk to—no drama, just natural, comfortable energy that makes people feel at ease.
She has this quiet kindness that shows in everything she does, especially when she’s handling her sessions. Every Saturday at 5PM, she leads our Dance Fitness class with so much heart-bringing energy, rhythm, and feel-good moves that make everyone forget the stress of the week and just enjoy the moment.
I’m really grateful for that “wrong turn” 🤭 Thank You Coach Cheng!

Big bow to this man, Coach Chris. From day one, he’s been nothing but consistent. Mega is basically his second home… his second bed… and … his second wife 😬🤭
But kidding aside, if you’re one of Chris’ personal training clients, you already know-he doesn’t cancel. Ever. It’s like he lives inside the gym 24/7. Rain or shine, early or late, he shows up, locks in, and makes sure you do too.
To his colleagues, Chris is that grounded presence everyone needs. Level-minded, always positive, and steady even on the busiest days. He brings calm energy that keeps everything in balance.
And beyond the seriousness, he’s also incredibly expressive and fun to be around…always dancing, joking, and bringing light energy into the room in his own unique way. The kind of person who can shift the whole mood of a space just by being there.
A real one from start to finish.
Keep it up Christopher Padilla Maningo

A well-deserved set of more than five photos for someone who has been with MFC since Day Zero.
Wana has been there from the very beginning…through every phase, every change, every challenge. Even when she was offered other opportunities and “poached” by others, she chose to stay with Mfc. That alone speaks of loyalty that cannot be taught.
There were times she got called out for cleanliness🤭, times she got scolded😁, and moments that weren’t perfect😜 but what always stood out was her humility. She never carried pride. She never held grudges. Instead, she quietly took it in, stayed grounded, and always found a way to make things better the next day.
And beyond all of that, she has been a consistent achiever. No doubt about it. Reliable. Present. Always delivering when it matters most.
Wana, Mega may be closing its doors, but what it built in people like you will never close. Please carry with you the values we always tried to instill- honesty, integrity, and genuine love for your work. Not just as lessons, but as something you live by wherever life takes you next.
Thank you for being part of MEGA’s story from the very start. You didn’t just work here…you grew here with us…literal!🤗
We wish you success, peace, and strength as you move forward to your next path. Keep flying high. And somehow… we know we’ll still see you around. Naw Julasiri

To our Mega Lady Coach, Avi 💙
There are people who simply train clients and there are people who unknowingly become part of someone’s turning point in life. You were the second kind.
At MFC, we’ve watched you on days when the gym floor was full, loud, and overwhelming-clients calling your name back and forth, schedules overlapping, no space to even breathe properly…yet you still moved with that same calm urgency, like no one was ever “too much” for you to handle.
But what most people may never say out loud is this: there were days you didn’t know, but someone came in broken, tired, and close to quitting… and they stayed because you looked at them like they still had something left in them. Not with big speeches. Just with presence. Just with belief.🤗
You don’t just fix form. You don’t just count reps. You make people feel like they’re still capable, even when they’ve already given up on themselves before stepping inside the gym.😚
And maybe you don’t always see it…but there are people stronger today because you once pushed them on a day they almost left early.
Thank you for the years you gave MEGA. For the patience when no one was watching. For the strength you gave away even when you were tired yourself. For making this place feel like someone always believed in you-even on your worst days.
