SCN Arts and Literature Club has hosted a book review session on the book "Bio ethics in Pakistan"

Bioethics is an important aspect in the delivery of healthcare and conduct of biomedical and health related research. Ethical dilemmas and their evaluation strongly depend on the context and culture where they occur. As a teacher of bioethics, This book "Bioethics in Pakistan" has used some fascinating real-life cases that physicians and students encounter in their practice. Some cases are seen at the bedside, while others have an ethical dimension for the institution and society. It is also very refreshing that the book is not prescriptive and does not give a right or Wrong answer but rather engages the reader to reflect on the principles and the values that underpin many ethical issues. This book will be a great day companion to students, teachers and practitioners alike in Pakistan, and many of the cases will resonate in countries with similar cultural and socioeconomic backgrounds.
