Scotland Replaces Bangladesh in T20 World Cup 2026
The International Cricket Council (ICC) has officially confirmed that Scotland will replace Bangladesh in the upcoming T20 World Cup 2026.
The decision comes after the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) expressed their inability to travel to India for the tournament, citing security concerns. The BCB had requested a "Neutral Venue" (such as Sri Lanka) for their matches. However, the ICC—following independent security assessments—found no substantial grounds to move the matches and issued a 24-hour ultimatum. After the BCB stood firm on their refusal, the ICC moved to finalize Scotland as the replacement.
